World economic "reset"?
 

I was talking with a friend the other day who was expounding on a book he had recently read. The economist (whose name I can't recall) contended that the world as a whole is so far in debt that there's essentially no hope. His contention was that there is no "collateral' to back up the world's debt and that we're eventually going to see a world economic "reset".

Does this mean my mortgage payment will go from $455 to $45.50 or what?

In debt to whom. The world owes the Martians?

If this happens it will clearly be George Bush's fault.

Debt rest? With the way creditors hound you over misplaced library books? (I'm getting threatening phone calls over a $60 tab :( )

Not going to happen.

You have a simple solution, return or replace the books.

Wait until you start getting hounded for someone elses bills, or bills that never existed in the 1st place.

That's when I start getting testy.
