Planting a Christmas tree
Is there any way a Serbian Spruce tree with a good leaf and branch structure but no roots (including no tap root) grow them back so that it can be planted in the garden?

I'm 95% sure that the answer is no. I'm no arborist, but my dad had a botany degree.

Some plants lend themselves to rooting cuttings, Alpine Currant comes to mind. Basic deal is to set the base in water laced with some "rooting medium" and look for roots to form. A full sized pine is another story, but if you have the space worth a shot. I grew a 12 foot long Alpine Currant hedge from cuttings back in Quebec.
