The Party of No

I was wondering where the GOP campaign slogan to subvert the country came from.
The war on drug employees the slogan, "Just say no" but that is not the same.
Then it hit me, "NO!" is taken from a young child's vocabulary when the child is unable to offer any insight and simply wants attention and does not know nor care about the consequences.

The problem is parents no longer teach the true meaning of no and politicians never had a clue. No I cant ? Well then how about after I vote for your bill and give you crap loads of money. No soon turns to yes in private and no in public.

I always felt that the word "no" is used by adults whenever dealing with the excesses of undisciplined children, generally for their own good.
