Got up early this morning and drove down to the beach.
Took these pictures of the first sunrise of 2011.
If you expand the one, you can see the moon and I believe Jupiter up high.

Happy New Year!!!!

Happy New Year!

Thanks, and Happy New Year to you too.

BTW, your picture looks better than mine. I headed to the store a while ago and after driving seven sweet miles I gave up and turned around. Some days it's best not head through a Tennessee holler. I made it across one creek, but didn't fuck with the bigger one today. ;)

This creek is never a problem, cross it just fine.

But this one get to deep after hard rain.

See how far it is to the other side? It'll wash away a 4x4 so I turn my tiny S10 around.

Wise move, that water looks to be flowing purty fast.

Yikes! Is that from snow melt?

We only had 5'' of snow here but it melted within three days, but just before daylight 2 1/2'' of good rain fell sorta quilike on the already soaked ground. You orta seen one of the local boondock creek's when it rose 48 feet back when Nashville went under water. What saved folks out here is they built on higher ground.

Those are good shots guys. It was nice to spend the day in today, particularly when it came to watching my Sooners in the Fiesta Bowl.:D

Don't guess you want to drive through 48' of water. Hell, I wouldn't of even wanted to try to cross that in a boat.
