or is Gibbs an arrogant asshole? I'm probably way wrong, but I have a feeling he may not make it. When Helen Thomas has to jump on a Dems ass, it has to be pretty bad.;)

Not at all. He, as most in his position (in large part) are chosen for their down to earth likable personality. The press would rip anyone who was arrogant in that position for everything . There will always be conflicts between an administration trying to package all decisions in a "brand" format and a free press.
