In a history-making late-afternoon vote, a divided Texas House chose Saturday to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, temporarily removing him from office over allegations of misconduct that included bribery and abuse of office.

The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23.

Attention next shifts to the Texas Senate, which will conduct a trial with senators acting as jurors and designated House members presenting their case as impeachment managers.

What the Texas Republicans are planning to do to Ken Paxton is what the national Republicans wished they had done to Trump. They had two chances at it and they whiffed. And the evidence here is indeed overwhelming and will be played out in public. Hope Mr. Obama gets the last laugh.

His is wife is a TX Senator and if she votes to convict him, we know will know for certain he is very bad dude.

Well, he did move his mistress from San Antonio to Austin and got her a sweetheart job with the benefactor who was financing the construction of his new house. Mama Paxton has every reason to be pissed, but she's probably as much of a cretin as he is.
