I just sent an email to Walgreens
 

Advising them of the severing of our over half a century customer relationship with them because of their despicable policy on Mifepristone.

Attention Walgreens senior management,

As of today I will be boycotting Walgreens as long as Walgreens will not distribute Mifepristone in the four states (Kansas, Alaska, Iowa and Montana) in which this drug is legal but facing legislative or legal challenges.

The cowardice of companies that decide not to engage in lawful trade because of Repub threats is despicable!

I should have done this a long time ago...when I first heard about Walgreens supporting pharmacy employees who refused to handle plan b or birth control prescriptions. The pharmacists are all state professional regulations licensed. Just like us clinical social workers. Do your job or get TF out.

In my 15 years at the not for profit agency we had three counseling staff, all Catholics, who were fired because they refused to serve clients who wanted help dealing with a divorce, or help dealing with an abortion, or help dealing with a family's hostility to their sexual orientation. Staff who refused to do their job were given the option of resigning or being fired for insubordination.
