California 100 percent powered by renewables for first time

Nice! Long hot summers should generate lots of clean energy for all those AC units.

Wow! That's a helluva milestone! With the advent of faster and more prevalent winds due to ACW, (anthropogenic climate warming) the energy derived is massive. We need to see offshore windfarms up and down the coast in addition to the desert areas.

That stretch of the 10 fwy near Palm Springs is fairly spectacular and otherworldly for its windmill farms and Joshua trees.

If the wind is too strong, they shut them down.

Are wind turbines a significant threat to birds?

No wonder why the Grand Old Fossil Fuel Party hates California..............

It always triggers them when someone succeeds at something they laugh at and tell us will never work.

Airplanes and helicopters are a threat to birds as well. Are you ready to give up air travel? Then, there's climate change and urban sprawl, housing the ever growing human populace also poses threats to birds and other wildlife.........

So, what do you propose we do? Build more coal fired power plants?
