Defund the Police?

Fox News and other shrill right wing "news" outlets are barking at their sheep that crime is "exploding in Democratic cities" ever since "Defund the Police".

1). Has there been any actual policy change or legislation ANYWHERE defunding police or disarming officers? Because if there has been, I can't find it.

2). It makes me fu**ing sad to learn that so many of my fellow Americans are so stupid and/or mind controlled as to actually fall for such obvious disinformation. To believe we're seeing the "deadly effects of liberal policies" from legislation that hasn't been enacted and policy that doesn't exist, (AFAIK).

I think the term was a bad choice of wording IMO!

One would think the Dems would be better at picking tags for their agendas. To cerebral for the masses, dumb it down some will workout better.....

Unfortunately this is what led to the slogans, "Blue Lives Matter" and then the politically correct, "All Lives Matter". I have a Trumper friend who has this special decal affixed to his car "Blue Lives Matter", but its a Prius, so his taste in cars is no better. :)

Back to my question.....

Are any of you aware of any actual legislative or regulatory changes that defund or disarm law enforcement?

Poor messaging to be sure, reform the police would be defensible.

I'm trying to find reliable statistics on the Portland crime rates. GOOD GRIEF, there is SO much noise out there. Homicide rate claims show a rise in homicides of 60% to 800% from 2020 to 2021, depending on the source of the data.........

This is getting impossible...........

The only congressional voting I have heard of that involves law enforcement is the when the proposed bipartisan hearing to look into the insurrection was voted down by republicans.
