Beginning of the GQP implosion?
Well folks, the blood fight has formally begun. The GQP is pitting Rep. Elise Stefanik against Rep. Liz Cheney for leadership (aka kicking Liz out) and Rep. Scalise has formally thrown his support behind Stefanik. I predict this is not going to end well for Liz Cheney, but what she does later may not be very good for the GQP either. Either way, fun for all.
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" And for good clean fun, Nancy Pelosi is trolling the Republican House members. :D |
'tis nothing but a minor dust-up
This has been building since the tRump takeover of the party. There was bound to be at least one person to protest and with the party running scared of the voters they've set on fire that person was bound to go down in flames. The party itself will continue on it's path until or unless they go down in flames in the midterm elections.

Wishful thinking.
Thinking the cult will go down peacefully without a fight to the bitter end, is a fools errand. The need to take the kid gloves off and quit playing nice with them has come. They think we are weak by allowing them to go on and on with the lies and obstruction. The time is running out for the justice department to act. By the fall the next election will be in full swing. Will be hard to once the mid terms campaigning is going strong. Or their master has his FB platform back! |
I'm not quite sure what the Dems should do. Forget the cult, its the mid terms that is important and where is the message?
Use the Dem monopoly in government and go after the GQP and call their bluff, they will make life very very difficult for Biden to govern and then use this to bash him and the party ("Do nothing" anyone?) before the mid terms. This will then energize the Republicans voters and they will turn up in droves and elect Republicans to the House. Play nice and the progressives will see the traditional Democrats kowtowing to the Republicans as in "business as usual", will not trust them anymore and will either stay home during elections or nominate extreme candidates in the primaries. Again, what is really lacking is the messaging from the Democrats. We need a few representatives from safe seats (preferably women) telling the suburban women voters, "GOP is the new GQP and they are evil". |

Liz Cheney: The GOP is at a turning point. History is watching us.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...turning-point/ A sad state of affairs when a Cheney is one of the only remaining Repubes with any sense whatsoever... |

The Dems need to become just what they are being accused of now. Might as well, trying to work with the GQP is a losing proposition. First place they need to be going full tilt so************************t would be in WV. Offer up fed $$$ for solar power/energy factories of good paying jobs instead of coal mines and Ngas ones. Give Sen Machin something to think about. |
How on Earth can you cooperate with a faction that backed a mob out to kill your members?
|
From the other side, after conning your voters for over years, how do you tell the truth now and continue to get elected? Lies will prevail over truth till until the 2022 mid terms and McConnell will do what he does best, say no and block every bill unless its tax cuts.
