Covid in Southern California
https://www.latimes.com/california/s...a-county-reels
It's getting really bad here. The county opened a mass vaccination center at Disneyland here in Orange county and it's been near impossible to register at the website. I just want to thank all the shit fer brains folk who just had to celebrate Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays by traveling home or wherever. Assholes... |
I can't wait for my turn to get the vaccine. I got emails from my pharmacy, my health care provider and UCDavis Medical Center all saying they will tell me when my turn comes. I hope that is a good sign the vaccines are on their way.

Last I checked there were 3500 ahead of me.
Getting bad here also. Wife's sister and husband, their daughter and husband plus son all have it now. |
Sorry to hear, Oerets. Fingers crossed for your family members.

Was supposed to get some surgery done on my spine mid-January. Postponed indefinitely due to a lack of bed space in the county. Thanks a lot, assholes.

Yeah it is a terrible situation all around.
I was able to receive the vaccine only because I am a Federal worker at a Naval Hospital. My family can't get it yet that is what worries me. It seems that now it is a race of time between variants and the vaccine. There is probably a bunch of American variants since the virus is so widespread here in our country. I hope you hold on until you can get your surgery Bob. In the Navy we had this upright bathtub on the aircraft carrier in which we would have people with acute back pain sit in...we would make the water around 100 fahrenheit or a little above that. It seemed to help them with the pain for a little while. I don't know if you have tried that yet Bob. Probably you have but if you haven't just don't make the water too hot. Chronic back pain is awful I wouldn't wish it on anyone. |
Both my wife and I got the first dose of Pfizer vaccine yesterday at Kaiser in Walnut Creek and it was sparsely crowded. It seems to me that it is not the availability of the vaccine that is the issue but the distribution and/or informing the public where they can go and get vaccinated.

Here in my state (In) getting info is next to impossible. I'm just outside of Louisville Ky 9 miles for downtown and have Doctors in both states. They are no help at all. Go to the website and told if not a healthcare/essential worker, nursing home resident or 70 no need to apply.....check back later......
Zerroooo health questions.... |
