Widespread dam failures in China

Dam collapse in China could point to a 'black swan' disaster
Quote:

YANGSHUO, China (Reuters) - The dam at a small reservoir in China’s Guangxi region gave way last month after days of heavy rain in a collapse that could be a harbinger of sterner tests for many of the country’s 94,000 aging dams as the weather gets more extreme.

If Three Gorges fails...Wuhan is in the flood plain. 400 million people at risk.

"...as the weather gets more extreme" = more millions set to die of a hoax?

I'm sure China wishes it were a hoax. The problem here is that many of their dams were shoddily built in the first place and, although they did attempt to reinforce some, it was basically the Netherlands comic of a boy sticking his finger in the dyke.

USA had similar flooding several years back. I only recall one earthen dam getting overtopped.

I fear by the time it becomes apparent to ALL of climate change. That the ill effects will be too many in number and happening too fast. Not allowing recovery before the next event.

We are very clost to this right now. Still people are willfully blind.
