The 5 Day a Week President

Hello folks, I'm new here and it's nice to finally have a place to vent.

Here we are this weekend again paying for yet another trip to Mar-a-Lago. Before he was president, Trump complained that "Obama plays more golf than Tiger Woods" and "when I'm president, I won't have time to play golf."

I know I should be used to his lies by now but why the heck should taxpayers be paying for his near-weekly golf getaways??

donquixote99 03-24-2019 02:34 PM

Don't get used to the lies. They are still bad.

And welcome to our little hideaway....

I hope you would wish a lot of getaways for someone burdened with the responsibilities of a US president...remember he is a nuke president.

Maybe a gator will jump out of a water hazard and bite him on the ass.

I don't think a gator would have any better luck than we would in knowing where to begin.

Welcome to PC Nipper Dog!

I personally would rather have him on the links then running the government.

The football follows him, Dond. The football. Him.

How long can anyone stand to remember that?

BTW--you're sidestepping the actual point, blatantly. No one begrudges a hard-working chief executive with infinitely weighty responsibilities his necessary decompression time. The point here was just the hypocrisy of doing exactly what he criticized Obama for, except more so, and the dishonor exhibited by the breaking of an explicit promise to do the total opposite of what he does.

You have to know this. Did someone suggest the 'nuke president' line of defense to you? If you're in a mood to reflect, you should ask yourself why you were eager to repeat this evasive, off-point defense.

I am looking at the bigger picture.

Trump may just be the biggest hypocrite to ever occupy the oval office.

I understand what you're saying but I'd love to know how much it costs to fly Air Force 1 with all its security personnel down there nearly every weekend, not to mention the logistics involved.

He's never hesitated to tell us how rich he is, why can't he just pick up the tab himself so that we're not all burdened by it!
