That is why I think he is pleading guilty. He has been trapped and can get a pardon. I wonder if he gets a pardon, if the prosecution loses its leverage over him?

If that happens, the obstruction to justice case against Trump will get bigger.

So is Flynn under any threats of loosing his retirement benefits?

Could this be also used as leverage?

According to the Hiss Act, as amended in 1961, only convictions (after retirement) for "crimes of national security." Therefore, retirement pay could continue.

That being said, military retirees are still subject to the UCMJ. There is the possibility that he could be reactivated and charged under the UCMJ in order to stop his retirement.

General Flynn served in the US Military for 33 years and then retired in 2014.
That is in the past and should be set aside in my opinion.

Collusion with a hostile foreign agency?
Dunno about that as a charge of treason, yet. Could turn up the heat on him.

I personally think he was in it for the money and probably bit off more than what he could chew. Doesn't look like he ran a very sophisticated lobbying operation. I actually feel sorry for this dude getting caught up with crooks like Manafort, Trump & Kushner.

More of a reason for him to be prosecuted. He just forgot what country he served and is drawing a pension from!

It is hard for me to feel sorry for him. He is all grown up and knows what is right and wrong... he should have had the integrity to do the right thing. If money was the motivator, then he should pay the price for his wrong doing.
