Trump Proclaims Inauguration Day is "National Day of Patriotic Devotion"
You can't make this $hit up.
“Now, therefore, I, Donald J. Trump, president of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Jan. 20, 2017, as National Day of Patriotic Devotion, in order to strengthen our bonds to each other and to our country — and to renew the duties of government to the people.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...otic-devotion/ He's giving Kim Jong-un a run for his money. |

It will be nice if he ever decides to act like a real President. I guess maybe this is what his TV show was like? I could never stomach watching a full episode of that nonsense, watching it for 10 minutes gave me my fill. Carl |
This is getting bizarre. I remember watching Nixon disintegrating mentally before our very eyes when I lived in the D.C. area. It was clear by early '73 that he was losing his mind. This guy isn't even in office a week and he's already cracking up. That speech at Langley was pretty deranged. I hope the people around him have a plan in place to keep him from nuking Tehran, Karachi or Los Angeles for that matter.

'Patriotic Devotion' sounds like something Pence and his merry band of bible thumping Domionists cooked up. Reminds me of that saying about fascism coming to America wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.

National Day of Patriotic Devotion (to our Dear Leader). Last part implied....
In practice, National Day to Wear Your Patriotism on Your Sleeve (or else!) |

Hmmm...just proclaims Jan 20 2017 as NDPD, not every Jan 20 going forward. So no plans for a big parade with tanks and missiles next year? Good.
