A Trump Impeachment?
Allan Lichtmann, the American University professor whose model predicted a Trump win, is now predicting a Trump impeachment.
At the end of our September conversation, Lichtman made another call: that if elected, Trump would eventually be impeached by a Republican Congress that would prefer a President Mike Pence someone whom establishment Republicans know and trust. I'm going to make another prediction, he said. This one is not based on a system; it's just my gut. They don't want Trump as president, because they can't control him. He's unpredictable. They'd love to have Pence an absolutely down-the-line, conservative, controllable Republican. And I'm quite certain Trump will give someone grounds for impeachment, either by doing something that endangers national security or because it helps his pocketbook. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...-be-impeached/ |
My vote goes to a pocketbook enhancement impeachment.

Won't happen until after the 2018 midterms, when the voters do a collective forehead smack and elect a Democratic House and Senate.

There is no doubt in my mind that Trump will do something he can be impeached for.
But a Pence presidency is a scary thought, too. |

A Pence Presidency would be much worse than Trump IMO. |

He won't be impeached. Conservatives will benefit. Leftists will be destroyed.

He will be safe, long as the GOP is in control of at least one of, the House Senate or Supreme Court.
You need to remember nothing sticks to the Donald Barney |
