It's just an unfortunate fact that sometimes hell has to be raised to bring about change. It's never good, people get hurt (or killed), property is destroyed, businesses damaged, communities thrown into chaos. But, the status quo can be incredibly stubborn so long as too many citizens and those in power see no reason to take their fellow man seriously. You can't expect people to just sit on their hands and endure injustice, forever. When peaceful avenues are blocked, complaints ignored, what does that leave?

Unfortunately, human history is full of bloody examples.

And in other news.

Quote:

Baltimore police routinely violated the constitutional rights of residents by conducting unlawful stops and using excessive force, according to the findings of a long-anticipated Justice Department probe to be released Wednesday.

The practices overwhelmingly affected the city's black residents in low-income neighborhoods, according to the 163-page report. In often scathing language, the report identified systemic problems and cited detailed examples.

The investigators found that "supervisors have issued explicitly discriminatory orders, such as directing a shift to arrest 'all the black hoodies' in a neighborhood."

They also found that black residents were more likely to be stopped and searched as pedestrians and drivers even though police were more likely to find illegal guns, illicit drugs and other contraband on white residents.

The latest in stupid human tricks from Ferguson.

Amazingly the guy gets up and runs pretty fast when the bullets start flying, so he's got a couple brain cells.

You are wrong. At 1:24-1:30 in the video, you can see the person who was hit being helped off the road by other persons. He is the one with the light blue shirt.

After the shooting starts, it is another person, with a dark shirt, who apparently fell by the side of the road, and gets up and runs.

This picture shows the person who was hit being carried, apparently subsequent to the events in the video:

I understand you 'don't care' about persons like this, and I understand why, but your making fun of him, as well as assuming a 'he was faking' narrative without looking closely, shows your way of thinking here in a sorry light.

Oh ok, I take it back then. The guy who got hit has no brain cells.

Apart from getting the whole thing wrong, I like the way you honed right in on the really important aspects of this story and ignored the irrelevant side details such as what looks like attempted murder and the nature of the subsequent gunfire. After striking the pedestrian the car doesn't stop. You can see the brake lights come on and then go out, after which the car continues on its way and eventually disappears from view. Only then does the gunfire erupt, calling into doubt the story that it was the protesters firing at the retreating car.

Did you notice the headline of the article you linked to?

"Video at Michael Brown March in Ferguson, Missouri, Appears to Capture Gunfire"

What the fuck? Talk about burying the lead!

I thought the really important aspect was kinda self evident- If you stand in the middle of the road at night, you could get hit. Then again, maybe it's not as evident as I perceive. Obviously this guy didn't get the concept.
If someone runs under a tree being felled, and actually gets crushed as would be expected, is the guy with the chain saw an attempted murderer?

So, your point is "stupid black people". Got it.
