It's been obvious for quite a while that Hillary would be the nominee. IIRC bobabode shared an analysis demonstrating that Hillary could lose the remaining primaries and still have the nomination due to proportional division of state delegates.

It's very obvious what the motivation for this is, coming on the eve of the June 7th primaries. To suppress the Sanders vote.

The Super delegates don't vote until the convention. Counting their votes now is tantamount to counting a poll as the final election results.

But the mainstream media, which is obviously in the tank for Hillary, has been doing this ever since the get go in order to portray Hillary as the inevitable nominee.
