Leonard Peltier's forty years...

1 Attachment(s)
It was recently brought to my attention that Leonard Peltier has now been in Federal prison for >40 years. When asked what I thought, I responded, "that's what happens when you commit murder."

Apparently, that's not the expected answer from an American Indian.

FYI: Peltier was a thug before any of this Wounded Knee crap. That's WHY he immediately ran to Canada while being sought for the incident on Federal Reserve land, he already had an attempted murder charge and felony warrants from Wisconsin!

First rule of political prisoner martyrdom? Actually be a martyr.

That said, I have -- also -- been made aware of at least two significant reasons why I should at least discuss his imprisonment with an open mind. I guess I'm easily swayed... :D

She's not as pretty as Anna Mae Aquash was.

Well, not that I know her, but she seems to possess the virtue of not having been murdered by an organization WAY too many Natives laud.

AIM folks make me nauseous...

From your posts on this site you seem to have a default hatred of American Indians and their issues.

Only the ones who fail to realize the bulk of our issues, today, are caused by us.
