F*ck Ben Carson
This article is really riling up the 'Baggers.
http://www.gq.com/story/fuck-ben-carson It's hard to take issue with its main point though: You are now bearing witness to an arms race of stupid, because stupid is in such high demand from the GOP base at the present moment. Stupid is what gets you attention, and attention is what gets you better polling numbers. |
My sentiments exactly.
|
Yeah, but isn't calling your essay "Fuck Ben Carson" kind of saying there's an 'arms race of stupid' in commentary as well?

Putting the working poor between themselves and the hard realities of life has long been the modus operandi of the rightwing elite. Look at all of the top Republicans in the last couple decades who were/are draft dodgers. Trump comes immediately to mind.
What's ironic is that the average schmuck still thinks only Democrats engage in such hypocrisy. That they are somehow voting for "warriors" when they vote Republican................ There is no basis in fact for any of it. |

Unprofessional, maybe. But the content of the article is spot on. |
So, you don't like Ben Carson, but you like Al Sharpton and talk about somebody else being stupid.
I have a pretty good idea that Carson is smarter than any of us. I certainly didn't do what he did with what he had to do it with and none of you have done anything but get a job and bitch because you didn't become a multi millionaire making widgets for somebody else. I mean the effort ya'll must have put in to that. |

I suppose because he does not fit the mold of the downtrodden black victim or buy in to that mentality. In other words he is a threat to the government will do it for you vote buying Democratic strategy. |

There you go again, Zero.

I heard Carson being interviewed about how he'd handle spending and the economy as president, his responses showed a breathtaking lack of understanding of how this actually works in reality. He wants to pay for increased spending for defense and other items with tax and personnel cuts. We saw how that worked under Bush-II, it didn't.

Candidate Carson comes across as an idiot savant outside of his field of expertise.

He has the arrogance of someone who thinks that since they are an accomplished surgeon everything else in life is easy, such as being a President. He is condescending if you sit back and listen to him.
He is the type that puts down people that major in liberal arts, etc. Well that is my impression anyway. He will never ever be President because in the end he is unlikeable to most Americans, baggers notwithstanding. |
Why single out Carson?
The entire Republican Party is rotten to the core. The most moderate Republican of today is far more radical and dangerous than the most batshit crazy Bircher of the 1950's and 60's. Fuck them all. Fuck them all. The long and the short and the tall. |

(Wait, that didn't come out right....) All kidding aside, do you think everyone has handlers, just because you do, meme-repeater? |

You can always blame the dismal job Obama has done across the board on racism or Bush.
Problem for the left is that if Carson is elected he will expose Obama for the dud he is. |

Look, the ass clowns who think Carson is qualified for the presidency by virtue of his supposed brilliance as a neuosurgeon are immune to arguments explaining why the one isn't a qualification for the other. I'm sure that Smoothie thinks Reagan was a brilliant president but does he think that means he would have been a great brain surgeon. Anyway, maybe if it's shown that Carson's brilliance was in self-promotion but that he was a rather ordinary surgeon, they might have a more reasoned view of his qualifications for the White House. |

Crazy talk works with Republican primary voters. I predict that in the upcoming weeks Carson will hang right in there with Trump at the top of the field. |
The further you go in education the more singular your knowledge becomes. By the time one becomes a PhD or MD, you are absolutely the most intelligent person on Earth in your uber defined genre. That doesn't mean you know dick about anything else.
1. Carson might be a world class surgeon in his specialty. 2. That doesn't mean he can competently change a flat, let alone run the Federal government. |
I can understand that Zeke.
We just went though 7 years of Obama's community service profession, two years of a no vote no show senator. One thing about a President none of them need to or do know a lot about the job. They get informed when they need to and assemble a team to handle everything. All a president does is nod yes or no. |
Except, of course, a degree in Constitutional Law places Obama's narrow field of knowledge squarely in the path of Presidential ability.
Carson's places his in the path of -- at best -- Surgeon General. Not a bad place to be but nothing like the Executive. |
