Whether you like to hear it or not........

The Confederate Rag represents racism and hatred.

Disgusting aren't they. Who runs around displaying a Nazi flag?

catswiththum 07-20-2015 08:32 PM

What do you see being flown along side it?

Is it the American flag? Nope.

Is it any state or foreign national flag? Nope.

Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or Marine Corp flag? Uhhhhhh.....Nope, again.

Is it the gay pride Rainbow Flag? Ha, Ha!!!! Yeah right.

No my friends it's the Confederate Battle Flag.

There is a reason for that and I don't think it's that a group of nice, God-fearing Southern folk were feeling nostalgic for their heritage. The damned thing did not accidently fall off a space ship and land there and I'm pretty fucking sure the Black folks didn't bring it.

Nope, Klansmen and Nazis toted that thing to Charleston from around the country to stir up shit with it.

It's time for decent Americans to see it for what it is.

Still want to run it up a pole on your own property?

Fine. That is your right. But you face the backlash.

I see no problem in helping an old man get some shade and water if he's getting heat stroke. Even if he is a piece of s**t.

I didn't say anyone should be treated with cruelty. I'm just saying we need to start treating the symbols of evil as just that------something to be ashamed of. Truth, Bob. No more polite silence.

bobabode 07-20-2015 09:22 PM

I would be hard pressed to act with the humanity and grace that the black trooper showed to that old neo Nazi piece of shit.

BlueStreak 07-20-2015 09:49 PM

I understand. It would be hard, especially considering the asshole most likely doesn't appreciate it.

From the SC Klan rally...

...proof that white supremacy could very well be the epitome of self-refutation.

For some reason I haven't figured out yet, I'm particularly intrigued by the guy just to the right of center behind the inked up forearm who looks like he's about to grab himself by the throat.

I don't think that mattered to the trooper.

What's awesome is that the more this thing plays out, the more undeniable the truth behind it becomes. The SC legislature bravely drops the rag and look who shows up to defend it................

Looks like validation to me.:p

Hillbilly, Chas and the rest of them still sulking? Hiding from reality? Oh, well.

Dave

There is right and wrong which is based truth and falsity. Is truth absolute or relative? Truth is often what one is willing to accept.

Maybe they should listen to the General himself

“I think it wiser moreover not to keep open the sores of war, but to follow the examples of those nations who endeavoured to obliterate the marks of civil strife and to commit to oblivion the feelings it engendered" - Robert E. Lee

That's a great quote and a worthy sentiment. Sadly, in the 150 years since the Confederate surrender, there has been no end of sore-picking. At this point it's hard to imagine that they'll ever heal.
