Interesting reporting though about the crazy white woman. Anybody have a clue what this "dispute" was all about? I've had quite a bit of experience digging through the context of interpersonal disputes...and I've rarely found that participants on both sides couldn't have done something differently either in the activities leading up to the "dispute" or during the "dispute" itself.

I'm still interested in what's behind the animosity between the neighborhood black kids and this family. Why are they repeatedly confronting each other?

Taking a flag down won't stop much of anything. But, it might teach some folks a lesson about being proud of a shameful past. Not an end all to the problem of racism, to be sure. But, it is a step in the right direction; Putting that rag in it's proper place.....a museum. Where it should have gone and STAYED in 1865.

I don't know that it's "repeatedly". As I understand it, the altercation that got the woman arrested was a continuation of an earlier one but we don't know the nature of it. If I had to guess, it would be something like:

#1: What are you %#@*&s doing in this neighborhood? Get the hell back where you belong!

#2: I thought I told you %#@*&s to stay the hell away from here!

More or less like the Texas pool party but split into two parts.

In the short term, taking the flag down will have its greatest effect in intensifying the sense of grievance that the racists who honor that symbol already feel toward blacks and the libruls who coddle them.

Maybe when they're all dead...........

Their sense of victimhood is now ratified by your call for genocide!

I'm not sure it would be "genocide" if we simply sit back and watch the clock as time and old age act as the avengers.

Ocala is a very rednecky place. Always has been.

With the exception of the lower east coast, the keys, some of the Tampa Bay area, and Tallahassee, Florida is just like the rest of the states of the old Confederacy.

So far it's a story about the bat shit crazy, bat wielding, white harridan Klanswoman threatening the innocent black children who just want to walk the streets in peace.

To be honest, the lack of background, at least anywhere where I've looked on the web, is starting to make me wonder about whether there's any truth to any of the story.

They are running with a one-sided story, I'll give you that. They lady seems to have gotten pissed and acted out in a way that fits the 'racists whites victimize blacks' narrative. And we know nothing about what set her off. It's reasonable to guess that there was probably something.

Reminds me of the story years ago of the old guy who yelled at the teens who cut through his yard on the way home from high school. The kids started making a sport of irritating the old coot. He calls the cops, cops do nothing. Eventually he gets so pissed he shoots a kid dead.

The old guy was wrong and did an awful thing, but the kids are not quite innocent lambs. Same is likely true here.

OK then...you just went and said straight out what I've been hinting around at for two days. You are a brave soul don...where it I who had been so forthright...I would have immediately dove (dived? doven?) under my desk.

*I just looked it up and it literally means, blown up by one's own bomb. I thought it was like being run up the flagpole by your own boxer shorts ("petard" always had a sort of undergarment sound about it), sorta like a Shakespearean wedgie.

Don't make too much of it. I just said the kids aren't innocent lambs. Does not imply they are the spawn of demons or anything. Kids are kids, and can be expected to pull kid shit. We do however expect full responsibility from adults.

I read this story the day it was posted here. The fucking story doesn't say anything. It says the incident started when the husband and the teens got into a dispute earlier in the day. A dispute about what? What was said to who? Who was the aggressor. There's nothing in this story.

The woman jailed on a $5,000 bond so draw your own conclusions.

And this is what I pretty much expected outta you. Have a question about what the actual circumstances might be in an incident like this and this is the crap you put up.

How do you or I know the woman's kid didn't get roughed up by one of the innocent teen victims of bigotry. How do you or I know if the crazy white woman is simply a bigot Klan wife. You don't know, and I don't know a fucking thing about what this was actually about. The first anybody heard of it was when it became great exclusive smarmy fodder for the Orlando Sentinel and local Tee Vee news...and nobody's telling the whole story. A dispute between the husband and the teens.:rolleyes: WTF does that mean? So far all it means to me we can't make a juicy bigot story out of it. The Orlando Sentinel knows exactly what the dispute was about.

So you go right the fuck ahead and pin it on the crazy white woman. I won't be pinning it on anybody until I get the whole story.

She is a crazy white woman. She gets the racial identifier because she earned it with racist comments and actions. She's a discredit to her race.

I agree with you to the limited extent of understanding that what we don't know may mitigate. But she didn't have to go where she did, and she shouldn't have.

I have no argument with this. But the longer this story goes without an update, the more suspicious I get.

I remember one time way back in the 70's when the blonde was teaching 4th grade at a west side school in Chicago. One day she broke up a fight between two 6th or 7th grade boys. Forty-five minutes later the mother of one of the kids wandered into the school with (no shit) a revolver in one hand and a half-empty bottle of Cutty in the other looking for "...the white honkey bitch with the skinny legs who put her fuckin' hands on my baby." It was the days before security at public schools. They hid her in the school walk-in safe until the cops got there.

People of all colors react to people of all other colors in all sorts of fucked up ways. I'm not pointing my gnarly finger at anybody until I hear what the "dispute" was all about.
