Always comforting to be at 400 feet above sea level.

I'm at 95 feet.

But I have a brother-in-law 10 miles away that is at about 10 feet.

He needs to unload that property quick.

I'm at 13 feet and 15 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

If the Sea comes to take me home, I will go.

The funny thing about this study is that it only covers one biggish glacier in Antarctica raising the worldwide sea level 11 feet in 100 years or so.

The gorilla in the room is the Greenland ice sheet which is also melting at an unprecedented rate.

Yeah, I'm not expert on glaciers and such, but I find the melting of ONE "biggish" glacier raising sea levels that much more than a little suspect.

I'll have to raise an eyebrow on that one.

Global warming is a fact. It is happening, and at an accelerated rate. The ice is melting. The grim speed of the glacial retreat is there for all to see. It can no longer be denied. There is no point in arguing. The continued debate over the cause has all the absurdity of arguing over shuffleboard scores on a sinking Titanic. We are past the tipping point in the natural balance; and there is nothing that can be done to counteract the colossal elemental forces now set in motion - it is unstoppable. All that can be done at this late date is to deal with the inevitable consequences that are predictable, if not calculable to a mathematical certainty. It is only a matter of time.

I agree.

Mama nature is going to give the human race one helluva bitch-slap.

And we totally deserve it.
