Charles Barkley is a Bigot, a 'Bagger and a KKK Sympathizer ...

... at least by the standards of this board.

Charles Barkley says Ferguson rioters are ‘scumbags,’ backs grand jury decision

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...jury-decision/

I guess I should have known. He is a skinhead, after all.

merrylander 12-02-2014 02:17 PM

When he puts on a uniform, picks uo a gun and puts his big mouth where his money is I might listen to him, as it is he sounds like a badly educated cracker.

finnbow 12-02-2014 02:22 PM

Barkley is a very bright and entertaining guy. I guess not buying into the discredited notion that Michael Brown was wantonly executed by Wilson makes him stupid.

Just like your boy Bill Cosby.

He lives in Alabama. Why don't you drop by and tell him that yourself?

donquixote99 12-02-2014 03:19 PM

WTF. I don't know Charles Barkley, and I don't care what he says, at all.

Now why all this sarcastic whining that people hypothetically would be nasty and call somebody else names? This is no way to discuss anything. I get the feeling that you're all pissed still about some criticism you've gotten. Look, I admit to not being totally impressed with some of the attitude on this, but you're basically a very intelligent guy with a very interesting background and a lot of insight in general. I can live with agree-to-disagree here if you can.

I mean, we can rake it over again, but I don't think you'll like it any more a second time....

BlueStreak 12-02-2014 03:21 PM

Tell me, why does the party that tells us we shouldn't trust the government and warns of totalitarian rule, now embrace police militarism? (As if they didn't all along.)

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Don't care what Charles Barkley thinks.

Dave

No, he's just a man with a differing opinion.......that I don't care about.

Oh, he "entertains", you does he? Perhaps you should visit him and ask him to tap dance for you? :p

While (somewhat) true, so is the converse (i.e., Democrats, generally more prone to trust and look to government for services/protection, seem reflexively anti-cop in this case, even when presented with compelling evidence that the "hands up, don't shoot" meme doesn't reflect what actually occurred).

ZeroJunk 12-02-2014 03:42 PM

I have a friend and if he posted on this forum you would think he was the biggest racist right wing white libertarian ever. Until you saw him.

I don't know him from shit, I'm just jacking up the baggers.

I like to push their buttons.

I do like the way they think that if they can find one black person to agree with them that somehow negates the millions that don't.

What is it that Barbara wants/needs from you? I'm guessing you could drop dead tonight and her life wouldn't change at all.

I have no vendetta against you Tom. I do resent, however, being called a 'Bagger, a racist, a bigot and a KKK sympathizer for not buying into the discredited meme that Michael Brown was executed. I'll get over it though.;)

Well I don't know Charles Barkley from Adam.

But if he wants to come down to Mobile Alabama and beat my ass for calling him an Uncle Tom on this forum so be it.

But if he does kick my ass, or if anybody else does for that matter, they had better do it in a way in which I never recover.

You can be sure of that. He's 6'6", about 300# and one of the better power forwards in NBA history and a two-time Hall of Famer. He could turn you into a greasy spot on the roadside without breaking a sweat.

bobabode 12-02-2014 04:58 PM

From the same rant...

"Barkley didn’t stop with Ferguson or the media. He criticized President Obama’s handling of ISIS. “Obama needs to put some real bodies over there and start shooting those damn guys from ISIS. We can’t wait any longer, those guys are getting out of hand,” he said. “We can’t just bomb them from a distance, they have to put boots on the ground, they have to go over there and shoot them. We need to put some bodies on the ground and shoot them dead.”" WaPo

Gotta love it when a pampered sports figure starts offering advice to the President of the United States.

I dig Sir Charles. He cracks me up and is one of the most entertaining and interesting figures in sport, along with Steve Spurrier. Interviews with either of them are bound to live you laughing while scratching your head. They're the Joe Bidens of the sports world.

I'm digging on the Rams after yesterday. That took real balls compared to Barkley's juvenile rantings on the radio but then I don't give much credence to blowhard sports announcers. Mebbe he was channeling Jimmy the Greek's ghost.

While I support their right to do it (though it isn't a 1st Amendment issue as some have asserted), I can also see why the police (and the NFL are pissed). Our system of justice presumes innocence and the grand jury didn't indict Wilson because the preponderance of credible evidence supported his version of events. It's an "in your face" to the cops who risk their lives in those communities.

That is curious since most of you guys' whole MO is what the government can take from somebody else and give to you.

You didn't answer the question.

What could I possibly want or need from you?

The business of government is to take in money by taxes and spend it for the public benefit. It has always been thus and is codified in the Constitution. The rub is that people always want to bitch about themselves getting too little of the pie and people other than themselves getting too much. It was always been thus. Simple really.

I said people like you.

I may have spoken out of turn since the first post from you was the typical smart ass no substance post typical of the loser contingent that dominates this place.

In a nut shell their whole philosophy of life is about how they deserve so much more. And, since they don't have what it takes to be successful in the easiest country to be successful in there has ever been they want the government to transfer it to them.

I doubt you are a person anybody is going to hear from because you want to do something for them.

I actually agree with that. But, it has gotten to the point that anybody who is reasonably successful pays in excess of 50% in some kind of tax.

So, you would like to think that the people who aren't paying are making an effort.

Despite what the la la land bunch on here seem to think that is often not the case.
