Giuliani: ‘White police officers wouldn’t be there if you weren’t killing each other.

Giuliani echos the company line. This is the argument we keep hearing over and over from the right wingers.

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani faced immediate Web backlash Sunday morning after he asked why people protest the killing of unarmed Ferguson, Mo., teenager Michael Brown but not black-on-black crime.

“Ninety-three percent of blacks are killed by other blacks,” Giuliani said, triggering a heated argument on NBC's "Meet the Press." “I would like to see the attention paid to that that you are paying to this.”

Georgetown professor Michael Eric Dyson, a frequent MSNBC pundit, said Giuliani was applying a "false equivalency" to the situation in Ferguson, where a grand jury will soon decide whether to charge Officer Darren Wilson in Brown's shooting death.

“Black people who kill black people go to jail,” Dyson said. “White people who are policemen who kill black people do not go to jail.”

Ghouliani needs to shut his festering piehole considering his history.

The part where his backing of the NYPD cleaned up that festering shithole known as NYC of the 1980's?

That's your basis? Really? Obviously you never visited the city during Koch vs what was handed to Bloomberg. That city was a disguising cesspool before Giuliani's years there. Were there mistakes? Absolutely. If things had not been done though I could not imagine today what that city would be.

bobabode 11-24-2014 01:45 PM

Despite the sarcastic smiley it was a serious question Mike.

Made it into a nice clean city where a black dude could get shot 41 times for pulling out his wallet.

Yes sir, that'll keep those darkies "in their place"

Poor Mike.

He keeps going back to Sharpton because it's the only play he's got.

But for every Sharpton on the left, we have a thousand Krazy Assed Klowns on the right to throw back in your face.

The knuckledraggers sure are riled up today, it must be because the Ferguson grand jury decision is set to be announced this afternoon.

I give Giuliani credit in the clean up of the city.

However he is always spouting nonsense. He has his eye on the lucrative security business.

BTW the reason why there are so many white cops in any area black or
white: A cop's pay/benefits are on the average better than for those jobs facing
working Joe.

Yeah, he's hawking for some identity theft protection scam now.

What's interesting is that they flash some rally fine print that you can barley see that says they can't guarantee that you identity won't be stolen if you sign up with them.

Giuliani doesn't have the capacity to frame the concern he was trying to establish, mainly because he doesn't hold it close to his heart. It is a two parter.

Why do we not hold all lives to be precious, and not allow murder? Especially in the black community, where 93% of all homicide is black on black, AND where close to 50% remain unsolved because no witnesses come forward.

What Giuliani tried to point out, in his usual inept manner, was the duality of the overwhelming black community's concern regarding police brutality, and the almost complete silence in investigations for many black on black murders.

There needs to be an evolution to where all murder investigations receive equal overwhelming support from the black community. The culture of omerta, and disdain for snitching, needs to end. Accountability needs to begin.

merrylander 11-25-2014 08:06 AM

^^^^ The thing is Dave if you come forward as a witness in a black on black murder you are likely to wind up dead. If you complain or offer testimony in a white cop on black killing no one is going to shoot you.

piece-itpete 11-25-2014 08:52 AM

sheltie on that we agree.

Pete

donquixote99 11-25-2014 11:12 AM

Omertà is a cultural response to protracted oppression. It does not arise spontaneously or for no reason. Sure it interferes with the honest rule of law, if and as that is attempted. But once it's going, you can't get rid of it just by saying it's bad and should stop.
