Over the long term, the ice cap is continuing to shrink, according to figures from the U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center.

Looney Tunes has more credibility than Gore. Hell, he's the one who said the ice would be gone in 7 years.

Yet the fabled Northwest Passage is open for shipping traffic during the summer.

Meanwhile from a reputable source. NASA.

This past August was the warmest since records began in 1881, according to new data released by NASA. The latest readings continue a series of record or near-record breaking months. May of this year was also the warmest in recorded history.

Dr. Gavin Schmidt, a climatologist and climate modeler at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, told The Huffington Post that while the agency's data does indicate that this August was the hottest on record, the difference falls within a few hundredths of a degree compared with previous Augusts.

Schmidt cautioned against focusing on any one month or year, but instead on the fact that "the long-term trends are toward warming." A very hot August, he said, is just one piece of the data that "point[s] towards the long-term trends."

It would appear that all the evidence from credible sources is indicating that DJ's source is full of shit.

Considering Tea Pahtay types hate anything associated with the federal government, I'm not surprised in the least.

Shit, everyone knows that NASA and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration are just chockablock with lefty eggheaded scientists bent on world domination.

Boy, you sure are thin skinned today. How is any of what you quoted an insult to you? Truth isn't an insult.

Welfare? I thought Clinton did away with that.

Prediction.

This winter will be above average temperature wise.

As long as the weather is average or above, you won't hear a peep from the DJ types. But the law of averages will mean that there will be a handful of days when it's colder than average. On those days the right wingers will be screaming like a tree full of Chinese monkeys about how global warming is a hoax.

Yup, all they remember is last winter which was a doozie with that arctic weather system that froze the northern third of the country.

No matter how you slice it, Gore was WRONG, and the climate models screaming bloody murder have also been wrong now - for 20 years.
