Once they cowardly dusted two cops they ran into Walmart across the street and killed a customer who was strapped. Granite School District spokesman Ben Horsley says the gun went off shortly before class started Thursday at Westbrook Elementary School, in the Salt Lake City suburb of Taylorsville. He says the teacher was severely injured when the bullet entered and exited her leg, and she was rushed to the hospital.

Technically, so did we all, and it's a miracle that it usually all goes right and we end up coming out pretty much all there and functioning fine.
I'm not comfortable with the idea of terminating a pregnancy for trivial or economic reasons, but that's not a decision I would deem to force myself on others, nor condemn an infant to an unloving, uncaring, abusive existence. There are worse things to happen to an infant than an abortion and those are truly heartwrenching occurances.

Mine began when I was born with original sin. For that to occur, I have to be born: to actually enter this world. Prior to that I am something, just not fully human. You're not that until you physically become part of this existence.

Whether or not the unborn possess souls is outside my privy but if you're not born, you're not like the rest of us. I don't know what that makes those who never enter this world but I know there is a before and after. By definition, that means the two states of being are not the same.

You're not alive until you're alive. You're not alive until you physically enter this world. That doesn't happen when cells join, it happens when you breathe on your own.

It's not a technicality, nor is it a miracle. A fetus is as much a human as you or me.

Deciding legal status of a fetus is an interesting excersize insofar as whether a fetus is a legal person or the property of its host to its best protected advantage, which also examines prenatal parental rights and responsibilities.

I remember when getting a CCWP was strictly on a real need basis and the only open carry was either hunters with long guns or the occasional hiker strapped for protection against mountain lions and bear.

This NRA sponsored fear campaign is a clear and present danger of my goddamn right to life, liberty and my pursuit of happiness to not catch a bullet minding my own damn business. As for guns, I get that many people interpret the 2A differently, from arming teenagers with whatever can be obtained to strictly limiting access to potato guns using aerosol as spud propellant.

All I know is that if your rationalization is that an armed citizenry protects us from the government or invasion? Your argument hasn't been valid for many, many years.

It indeed gets down to reproduction being different for women and men. For men, it can easily be 'fire and forget.' Women have a lot fewer 'shots,' and each one is at least a 9-month commitment, if not 20 years, with the 9 months entailing considerable physical duress, trauma, and risk. Against these facts we must balance religion and ideology, and the rights they urge us to grant to unborn and undeveloped potential people. I think the balance comes down to the woman getting some options. Still, from point of reliable viability on, restrict unless compelling cause can be shown.

Think of fetuses as Guatemalan children, and their birth like crossing the border.
