Run Rand, Run

A couple of Dreamers confront Steve 'Cantalope Calves' King in Iowa while Rand Paul exits stage left.

He's walking a fine line between tolerance demanded by independents and libertarians and the xenophobia demanded by 'Baggers. What's a confused demagogue to do?

Probably was afraid they were carrying the Ebola virus.

I think Paul really messed up BIG TIME.

Anyone who runs for President against Paul just has to play that video of him getting up and running from the dreamers. He is done.

He bets he wished he would have voted for that immigration reform bill now. All he would have had to do was get up and contrast his position with King's.

Serves Paul right for breaking bread with that moron.

He's pretty good at whole hog plagerizing from Wikipedia. ;)

IMO Rand is a case study between learning words and internalizing thoughts. Rand has not crossed over to the internalization that his father brought to the table.

Perfectly articulated! Could not beat that with a stick.

Rand ran like a cockroach. It is hard to conceptualize voting for a cockroach who can't converse with two college students of dissenting political persuasion in front of a camera.

It beggars the imagination that the political office in question is president. I couldn't vote him in as a dog catcher. You need to know how to talk with people that are pissed at you, disagree with you, are angry at you, and are happy with you. And you need to do it all putting out the same content, and not foisting raw red meet in front of the partisans, like Romney did.

Hindsight is always 20/20.....he should have just started talking to the dreamers instead of running. He would look much better in 2016. Probably did not want to embarrass his host, which in itself speaks volumes.

My take on the Pauls is that they are fake mavericks....they try to look libertarian and be sort of outside the envelope so to speak. But at the end of the day stay firmly inside the skirt of the GOP...it is good way to raise money. The old man was so different he stayed in his GOP seat for three decades....yeah whatever.

Under Kentucky law Paul cannot run for Senate and President at the same time. I do not think he has the courage to give up his seat for the larger goal myself.

It is easy to be hip to cool ideas when you do not have to worry about ever implementing them.

I would love to hear Pat Moynihan-DNY discussing immigration with these two. He was one of the more learned and erudite of senators to ever serve.

He was also extremely anti-abortion.

Some Libertarian.
