More so for California: Employers are able to sustain features of such an
economy because of the massive inflow of cheap labor.

First came beer bottles, then diapers, and then "The Disposable employee".

Use em once, then throw em away.

I would say more because unions are not as strong here as in New York and the East Coast in general. I know an x-ray tech from New York City who has been here two years and is thinking about going back because she cannot find a full-time position with benefits. Out here the mantra is to get by with less workers so as to preserve the bottom line. I am sure the wave will crash upon your shores soon enough.

More to do with democrats running the state.

They're pushing the business out of the state due to the excessive cost of operation here.

Too high of taxes.
Over regulations.
Emploies also need to have higher wages here to live because we get it up the ass too.

Let's not forget Obamacare has been the biggest contributing factor to the temp work exploision.

The strong influence of the Irish preserves the clout of the unions especially
in Manhattan.

California political leaders, starting with Gov. Jerry Brown, should be popping the champagne corks: the state has rebounded enough to surpass Italy and Russia and reclaim its title as the world’s eight’s largest economy in 2013, according to a new study by the Center for the Continuing Study of the California Economy.

The study, released Thursday, cited “California’s strong job gains in 2013 combined with the recent IMF forecast that most of Europe will remain in recession this year” as reasons that the Golden State will move up in its rankings this year.

Republican or Democrat business men want cheap labor in all sectors of the
economy.

Check the lobbying to bring in hi tech workers.

They can lobby till they're blue in the face. Businesses are leaving California and that's clearly documented.

Politicians and Government Union are bankrupting cities. Clearly documented

Oversees money is flooding the housing market forcing the middle class out. Clearly Documented

Highest Unimployment rate. Clearly documented.

It's soon to reach a point that the people living here will have no one to actually work to keep the economy going.

I know.

I was responding to 427's claim that it's all the fault of the Democrats.

Probably Russian and Chinese in origin.

What would you want the government to do about this?

This guy is a freeloader, self employed in the service sector (means pays little or no taxes), yet pontificates as if he is some one with experience in mainstream economy. He is here to bash Democrats and Obama. In fact he tried doing that on AK/BAP once knowing fully well it's against the rules.

Attack this jerk's credibility till he goes away.

So tell us whose house you live in. Bought and financed a house on your own ever? How do you participate in the CA economy and what makes you such an expert.

And, you want me to contribute to a thread that you are crapping in?

Edit: "By the way do you have any input on the topic of the thread or do you just troll here atacing member?"

I am also your voluntary spell checker. As for grammar, damn near impossible.

Better yet, put him on your ignore list and he automatically goes away. Works for me. Life's too short to argue with idiots.

What that means is that he is a paid troll.

His job is to get on the internet and post right wing lies.

We really should all do that.

I have no doubt that that would be his worst nightmare.

Agreed. Some guy here advised us to do just that in the beginning and we ignored his advice. It really is the only way to effectively deal with a troll on a public forum.

Sign the pledge folks, no response with any quotes of this OCD idiot troll at all, ever.

I'm in, anyone else?

I am in. And a very sincere request.
For those who do not wish to follow this course of action, please do not quote this repugnant person. His sole purpose is to bash Obama and ruin the forum for others.

This will only work if he is not quoted. His intent is to disrupt the conversation by launching outlandish comments or personal attacks on members. So why quote him when there is nothing of substance and only venom?

Two days and he has already flung direct insults at a few members without being in the conversation.

Completely correct observations. I'm on. Will not respond to his posts, or quote him.

Ya Chris I'm back I don't know why but I am and probably not for long because you can't have or share your views here.

HarmanKardon 08-04-2014 04:18 AM

For sure you can. Just respect the road traffic act and stop driving with top speed across the pedestrian precinct...!

Good Luck Dan!
