Lyin' Ryan's Plan For The Poor

Consolidation of the federal safety net into block grants administered by the individual states . He's got mighty big balls to be trotting out the same old bs while trying to sound like he's Jack Kemp . My apologies to my Repub friends if you think I'm being a little harsh on young Mr. Ryan but after looking at this Ayn Rand loving joker's previous work on budget issues, color me skeptical. Very skeptical.

How does anyone agree to meet "benchmarks" within a specified time period in an unpredictable world?

This dude Ryan reminds me of a high pressure shoe salesman. Not quite the Florscheim class...what was that national chain? Kinney's?

Our family was more JC Pennys, ya know. :o

I think he's destined to be Fred Thompsons successor in shilling reverse mortgages.

The sooner the better. He's got that earnest young man persona disguising a wretched and twisted soul, imo. He needs to hie himself to the confessional, preferably with a Jesuit.

Here's another piece in the Post I was checking out. These dudes keep putting lipstick on the pig but it still smells like pigshit.

As a graduate of Kent State University I can attest how dangerous it is for anyone from a MAC university to actually have power over other peoples lives like Ryan could have (and does). That goes for Michigan State too of course.

What is a MAC university? What is wrong with them?

Searching provided few clues, unless it has something to do with Master of Arts with Secondary Certification programs....

Sorry
Mid-American Conference.

You went to a better school I think.

How could anybody take this man at his word for anything at all?

Too many bald faced lies have come out of this guys mouth but I wonder if the disconnected Indies have been paying attention?

To his credit, Paul Ryan did not once invoke "bootstraps." In a speech unveiling his new poverty proposal Thursday morning at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, he did not describe the safety net as a "hammock" a single time. He did not use thinly veiled code words about the "inner city." He did not misleadingly suggest — as he has often in the past — that the war on poverty has failed, when in fact much research tells us that federal programs, despite their flaws, have lifted millions of Americans out of destitution.

Ryan is learning to talk about poverty in ways that don't make his ideas instantly unpalatable to the left, to advocates for the poor, to researchers and program officers who recognize that poverty is a sign of so much more than the absence of effort.
So, in other words the slimy little snake is learning how to be sneaky when pitching his snake oil. That doesn't fool me, but I fear it may fool some of the more gullible.

Like I said.

Despite populist 're-branding,' Paul Ryan's plans slammed as same old anti-poor scheme.
