It is good that we live in a country where the justices have that impact/power.

"You have the right to remain silent" are historic words.

You're in favor of the Hobby Lobby decision?

I tend to agree with Kopf on this as well as some other issues he has spoken his views on.

"................the Court is now causing more harm (division) to our democracy than good by deciding hot button cases.................."

Absolutely.

Y'know...they're all attorneys, so you expect significant arrogance, particularly since they're attorneys at the pinnacle, I suppose. In dealings with attorneys and physicians, and I've had quite a bit in my professional career...it's more attorneys than one might think in the world of mental health...I've found the arrogance level in the attorney's significantly advanced when compared with psychiatrists.

Anyway, I'm probably reiterating the obvious, but the worst of them for a long time has been Scalia. He's not just a monstrously arrogant lawyer, he's just a remarkably arrogant prick all the way around. And he'll never quit...too much power, too much authority, too much worship from the right, for a narcissistic schmuck like him to ever walk away from it. He'll die in his chair.

Scalia seems that he'd be better suited to be the hanging judge for some banana republic.

I did not know that all five justices deciding in favor of Holly Folly are Catholics. Not enough separation between church and state or coincidence?

donquixote99 07-08-2014 10:17 AM

So how may are members of Opus Dei?

Rajoo 07-08-2014 10:33 AM

Six and remaining three are Jewish and just one from the west coast.

He be better suited stuffing sausage into Calzone in the kitchen and then stuffing it in his festering piehole in the dining room.

It's been my job for almost 25 years now to observe and identify problems of character (among other things). I've seen, heard, and read more than enough of Scalia to be comfortable suggesting that he's a hostile narcissist. Anybody with that diagnosis is a problem sitting in a judge's chair in any courtroom. I wouldn't want anybody like him hearing a parking ticket case.
