Hillary Down In The Dumps: Is Clinton About To Drop Out Of 2016 Race?

Hildebeest can't handle reality anymore. Check out how arrogant the old bag is getting.
We don't "need" you H-Beest!

“Right now I’m feeling like they can all go f**k themselves,” Hillary said, referring to the media.

“I know the country needs us, but they aren’t acting like they deserve us. Just f**k ‘me.

That was opinion written like dialogue in a novel. There is no attribution of the source of the "quotes." I take the report with a boulder of salt.

If she's smart as they say she is, she'll drop out. You have to be either a raging megalomaniac or the dumbest fucker on the block to want that job.

MrPots 07-01-2014 04:08 PM

At this point I'm thinking the people of this country deserve another GW Bush.

Maybe Willard or Rubio...but not even this dumb-ass electorate deserves George.

MrPots 07-01-2014 04:18 PM

May be.... I'm feeling kinda down on people these days.

bobabode 07-01-2014 04:58 PM

“We’re going to fight and win the White House,” Bill told Hillary. “That will be our reward and our revenge.”

Wanna lollipop? Suck on that Faux wingnuts.

I still think that she will not run. Given her age and recent health issues coupled with the prospect of grandchildren, I just don't think she wants it. I'm still wondering how the hell she failed to beat Obama in the 2008 primary.

d-ray657 07-01-2014 06:05 PM

BH, although not perhaps in the analysis, we agree in the conclusion. I am one of those awaiting a new liberal voice. And I'm sure you are too.

What would be the political calculus of Clinton waiting this long to drop out?

For the record I would like to see some of fresh progressive voices coming into their own too but then there's the simple fact that you can't lead if you don't win.

Anybody else getting sick of all these fucking bullshit troll threads that the fucking paid right wing shills keep spamming the board with?

BlueStreak 07-01-2014 06:49 PM

I'm tired of back pain. It's been a week already, ferfuksake.

Dave

bobabode 07-01-2014 06:59 PM

I'm tired of this right knee giving me fits, at least I got a series of x rays done today. Time for an adult beverage. :)

Hope you get to feeling better.

They say you can learn to live with it, I've never been able to completely heal up and move on.

Also hope you are on the mend. BTW not much a adult beverage or two won't fix.

Thanks Barney. :)
I'm sure the sawbones is going to want to dig around in there and at least clean up some torn cartiledge. An old construction injury has advanced to the stage where it's interfering with work, oh well. Gettin' old sucks.
I might have to have second Kentucky Tea to celebrate the news out of the Bluegrass state today. ;)

This marriage thing is such a non issue with the people I know. Especially the younger they are the less they care. See zero problem with two people who love each other getting married.

Since my back pain is not getting any better either (for real), I might as well muse about the next presidential election.

Interesting that Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush are the front runners. And neither seem to really want the presidency albeit for different reasons. And there do not seem to be any viable second choices for either party. That is a shame and a sign that qualified candidates do not want to go through the media circus for a very low paying job*.

*Bill Clinton's speaking fees for one gig exceeds Mr. Obama's annual salary.
Or check Sarah Palin's tax returns for reasons why she quit her day job.

It will cost over a billion dollars per candidate and that money needs to be raised, deals made, promises to be kept. Quite a daunting and shameless task.

Now the real fear for the Democrats is that if Hillary does not run, chances are that a Republican will get elected president. It then becomes a greater matter of concern regarding the long term makeup of SCOTUS than the presidency itself. Citizen's United, McCutcheon, Holly Hobby are all extreme narrow decisions that I would call legislating from the bench.

There's no upside to formally announcing at this point, only a downside. She still has quite a while to make up her mind.

The right knee is the root cause. I injured it in boot camp, 1982. Torn ligaments that still occasionally flare up. When it acts up, I favor it which messes with my lower back. I've had it x-rayed and so on, but the best they can tell me is that I'm "starting" to get arthritis. Whatever. So, now I have a support sock for it that works pretty well. I slip it on when the thing starts to ache. Plus, there's BioFreeze and Aleve, which helps.....

Anyhow, the last week was hell. I missed a night of work on Tuesday because I could hardly walk. Today was much better.

I'm from Chicago. Maybe you had to be there. The guy was really dynamic. Really impressive And in addition to how impressive he was, I think a lot of Democrats couldn't wait to hop on the bandwagon of electing the first black president. I guess race trumped gender in 2008.

There was a lot of stuff about him that it doesn't appear ever got much, if any national attention. His mentoring by IL State Senator Emil Jones...one of the great political hacks in a state full of political hacks...the sweet kickback real estate deal on his 6000 S/F house in the Kenwood neighborhood with current federal pen resident, and Chicago deal maker Tony Rezko. And some other stuff. There was all this legit questionable information on the guy, and all the idiotic Republicans would do was bleat about Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and birth certificates.

Unless we change the makeup of the House no one can lead. With Bonehead and Company it is like herding cats.

The right is constantly pissing and moaning about an "imperial presidency" and Obama exceeding his powers. Well...somebody's gotta do something when this Congress hasn't managed to pass a single piece of major legilsation.

Mario definitely made one of the best convention speeches I ever heard. I think it was in '76. Andrew seems a bit more buttoned down.

I really really like Elizabeth Warren, but I wonder about her experience.

IMHO the concept of "experience" as a prerequisite for that job doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. They say a state governor's job is the best preparation for being president...as opposed to being a member of the Congress. But I suspect there's no adequate preparation for the position. One wins the position and one can either do it, or they can't. There are lots of different organizational ways to do the job, lots of styles, different skill sets. But I don't believe there's any way to know who will be better or worse until they get into the job...if "better or worse" is even a legitimate criteria.

However, the intangible trait of leadership is of paramount importance and previous leadership experience is perhaps the only indicator of whether a candidate has what it takes. Unfortunately, Obama does not.

Andy would be a great president, I mean just look at our NY tax rate. His father F-ed this state and Jr is doing his best to follow in his footsteps. He can't even get along with super liberal DiBlasio.

UNLV students can take a flying fuck through a rolling donut. It's her fee. If you don't want to pay her fee, don't sign the contract. If she can bring in more money than she costs, WTF do any students at UNLV care. If she costs more than the return, tough shit. If a university books a concert and it loses money...is some pompous ass undergrad gonna call Mick and Keith and tell them to give the money back? Fat fucking chance. Some undergrad asks me to return my contractually established fee with any college or university for whatever my service might be, they can take a fucking hike.

WTF is wrong with you? It's called free enterprise. It's about making as much money as one can and if anybody doesn't like it they can go pound sand. It's what you harebrained right wingers are supposed to be all about.

Hey Ike! Your portfolio is making too much fucking money while you sit around on your ass posting on PoliticalChat. Give it back. Yeh...sure DJ. Whatever you say little fella.

Condoleezza Rice at Rutgers for $35,000 fee. Hillary Clinton at UNLV for $225,00.
Both were secretaries of state. How does one explain the disparity.

FWIW, I thought Ms Rice's fees were excessive so Clinton's is insane. But it seems the money for Mrs. Clinton is not coming from the university's general funds and the money she is getting paid is going into the Clinton foundation.
