Interesting POV

I don't agree with him 100% but he does make some interesting points that curiously enough put him at odds with both sides one topic or the other.

You actually took the time to listen to a feckin' Prepper. Jeebus, Pete.

I hear a lot of people out. It helps keep one from boxing themselves in. I saw something in this gentleman's video I thought was interesting.

In starting he says ISIS is targeting Sunis? Check the first minute.

piece-itpete 06-25-2014 01:01 PM

No sound here. He is sick and it shows. If you watch though he does know a little about the actual area there. Did you continue?

He also reminds me of Red Green.

I listened. He is prepared and is advising others to prepare for the sudden collapse of the powers that be. He is citing the rapid success of ISIS to
buttress his argument.

Possible but highly improbable here.

Laughable is his characterization of the Bundy issue.

piece-itpete 06-25-2014 02:35 PM

You watched more? :D

I thought his POV on the overall power of government was interesting and directly countered both parties common ideology.

Oh, I believe there are some ignorant, whipped up and obsessed idiots out there.

BlueStreak 06-25-2014 05:13 PM

The guy actually seems fairly intelligent and rational, compared to similar videos I have watched of stark raving lunatics. There are a lot of violent, hate and bullshit spewing morons in this country and he addresses this.

Agreed. Spent some time with the Bundy one, since Dond thought it was out there. I thought it moderate and mainly accurate, though he still liked the assemblage of Bundy supporters 'as a protest,' and thought the BLM was somehow being too 'draconian' in trying to round up trespasser cattle....

He does digress a lot.... :)

The intentionally distressed hat seems out of place to me. Appears he's influenced by the latest fashion trends, and that clashes with his otherwise common sense demeanor.

donquixote99 06-26-2014 11:35 AM

He's playing 'TV personality.' Costume and appearance manipulation are part of the game.

piece-itpete 06-26-2014 11:40 AM

Watch the one where he says the preppers are all going to die :)

Pete

Btw distressed hats are 'in' right now, you buy them that way. He looks like a US Red Green, fitting for Maine :p

I know, that was kinda my point. Not usually characteristic of the prepper type to worry about fashion trends.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume his kid gave him the hat. I'm wearing a Harley shirt right now, something I'd never buy for myself, but it was a gift from my daughter.

piece-itpete 06-26-2014 01:39 PM

Next up, ponytail and 'sleeves'? ;)

Pete
