"President Obama, in statement, said the capture "demonstrated that we will do whatever it takes to see that justice is done when people harm Americans."" LATimes

President sends in special ops forces and captures Ahmed Abu Khatallah.

merrylander 06-17-2014 01:57 PM

I'll bet McCain and his girlfriend Lindsay will absolutely silent.

bobabode 06-17-2014 02:05 PM

I wonder if Khatallah will confirm that the infamous video is what drove them over the edge? ;)

MrPots 06-17-2014 02:07 PM

So where's the RW condemnation? Too soon?

piece-itpete 06-17-2014 02:12 PM

Glad to hear it.

Pete

Limbaugh insists that the timing has something to do with the silly Heritage Foundation Benghazi clusterf*ck that is now ongoing (and the subject of another thread).

Give 'em time Pots. They'll be bleating and blathering about Obama taking a victory lap in Romney's Rose Garden soon enough.

McCain thinks President Bush should get some credit for this.

Interesting story in the Post. ;) It seems that the righties want him in Gitmo and not in a court of law.

More... http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...anamo/?hpid=z2

Sounds like the rats are running scared ahead of the '14 elections now that the Benghazi 'Idiot's Wind' has turned to doldrums.

piece-itpete 06-17-2014 03:09 PM

Is he a US citizen?

Pete

whell 06-17-2014 03:12 PM

Has anyone asked this guy yet if he ever saw a particular YouTube video?

Everyone saw the video Mike. Why do you think there were demonstrations all across the Muslim world at it's release?

Um, 'cuz Al- Qaeda used the video as a pretext to incite a riot?

Another one taken down! The President can add another notch to his score post.

Now for a real Benghazi hearing and trial.

Barney

Graham and McCain should hold hands and walk off into the sunset.

This sounds like an acknowledgement that the video was at least part of the motivation for the attacks.

FOX will bury it to the crawl. Hoping the views don't see it!

He killed four US citizens including our ambassador. Are you saying he's beyond our justice because he's not a citizen?

Rajoo 06-17-2014 06:51 PM

If I am not mistaken, crimes committed on US Embassy property is as good as committing a crime here on US soil.

It was. Kind of like the motivation a match needs to burn when you throw it into an inferno.

I think this one is more like a Mulligan in golf. Doesn't sound like the SOB was all that hard to find, so one if left to wonder why it took so long to bring him in.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/poli...icle-1.1833316

Last August, CNN’s Arwa Dawson interviewed Abu Khattala for two hours “in public at a coffee shop of a well-known hotel” in Benghazi, she explained during the segment.

“For a suspected terrorist, who may have been involved in the murder of four Americans, he’s really not that difficult to find,” Dawson said during her report, adding that Abu Khattala “seemed to be confident, his demeanor most certainly not that of a man who believed he was going to be detained or targeted any time soon.”

Reckon your dismay had the capture been orchestrated by President Willard. BWAAAAAHAHAHAH!!!!!

Whell the only reason they went and got him was to try and bring out some news that makes Obama look good.
Unfortunately it doesn't outweigh all the bad created by this President.
