Another Gun Thread...Sort Of

1 Attachment(s)
I frequent the "Dianawerk Collective" website which is a forum for Diana (RWS) air guns. There is a member who builds parts & modifies all sorts of air rifles and documents the builds with his posts almost everyday.
Check this project out. He machined (at home) lots of parts including the scope adjustment wheel, mounts, and all sorts of other stuff including internals. The machine work is killer IMO.
It's just one cool BB gun. :D

That's cool as hell!

BlueStreak 06-12-2014 06:13 PM

That is some impressive workmanship.

And, that's a nice speaker stand it's sittin' on.

I have one of their model 48 5.5mm 3 ball sear actions in a walnut Tyrolean stock with a 4 power Macarri scope that deserves more of my attention.

Wow, very cool. All I have is a stock Magnum 350 in .22 cal. with the T05 trigger.

I've always thought the physics of guns (can't call that a firearm) are intriguing. Would that be use for target shooting, or some other application?

Regards,

D-Ray

That's why I pleasure shoot air guns, the physics of a spring air gun are fascinating. Web search for Feinwerkbau 300S review for example.

At my gun club, I signed my oldest son and daughter up for an indoor competitive airgun league back when they were in their early teens. The club had several Feinwerkbau precharged pneumatic rifles. They were incredibly accurate and could put the pellets through the same hole at 10 meters if you had the requisite skills. It's definitely easier to shoot accurately than a spring piston gun.

Feinwerkbau, Diana, and Walther had ingenious solutions for stabilizing spring gun reaction tho spring guns are now largely supplanted by pcp for competition shooting.

The guy who tricked out that PCP recently joined the Diana board because he decided to build 2 springers (His wife gets one). Here is his thread - it's pretty darn amazing. http://www.network54.com/Forum/18447...tle+changed%29

The Diana 54 is the recoil-comp'ed version of the model 48 sidelever action, as you would know. Mine has a trigger mod by Russell Best done for the PO, oddly I now find almost no info for Russ on the net as if nearly all has been expunged.

We have three CO2 air pistols here a .177 replica of the Colt Python (actually has a rifled barrel),and two 6mm pistols one a copy of the Beretta Cheetah the other a copy of the Colt 1911. Must be good copies as the kid across the street girl friend saw Florence with the 1911 and called the cops. We all had a laugh over that. Very useful at persuading the white tailed lawn rats to go eat the neighbors trees and plants,
