Left Wing Terrorist Has Been Apprehended

San Francisco Political Consultant Charged With Explosives Possession

A San Francisco political figure has been charged with possessing explosives following a manhunt that ended in his arrest Monday.

Ryan Kelly Chamberlain II allegedly had in his apartment an improvised explosive device "designed to maim or kill," according to a federal criminal complaint unsealed Tuesday.

The FBI issued an alert Sunday saying that Mr. Chamberlain, a local campaign consultant and social-media strategist, was wanted and considered armed and dangerous.

According to the criminal complaint, FBI agents found components of an IED in a messenger bag, including a model rocket motor lodged within a green powdery substance in a jar; ball bearings and screws "believed to be intended projectiles"; an igniter; and a circuit board configured as a remote-control receiver.

Mr. Chamberlain was apprehended by San Francisco police and FBI spokesman Peter Lee said "we do not believe at any time the public safety was threatened."

Mr. Lee declined to say what tipped agents off, but an apparent suicide note was posted on an iCloud account bearing Mr. Chamberlain's name. The source of the message couldn't be independently verified.

Thank God for gun control in that stupid state.

Is there no such thing as a right wing extremist who might be a potential threat?

(Careful, it's a loaded question.)

He Taught at University of San Francisco:rolleyes:

On Social Media He Seems Like a Regular Guy:rolleyes:

KTVU has learned Chamberlain was involved in sports marketing, taught a semester at University of San Francisco in 2011, and was active in political circles.

"I was shocked. It blew me away," said Howard Epstein, the past chair of the San Francisco Republican Party.

Epstein said he worked with Chamberlain years ago before Chamberlain switched sides and joined the Democratic Party's efforts.

"The only one I know that he worked with after he left the party was Gavin Newsom. He was an organizer when Gavin ran for mayor," said Epstein.

Alex Clemens of Barbary Coast Consulting hired him as a contractor for about a month back in 2009 and has known him through political circles for more than a decade. He described Chamberlain as a competent political operative.

"He worked every cycle on a campaign, or two or three, and you don't survive in the very high stakes of San Francisco politics without being competent," said Clemens.

A radical leftist? Who woulda thunk it? If Billy Ayers were dead he'd be rolling over in his grave.

There I fixed that for you. Radical is what you are then the next step is this guys terrorist action, next in line is the terrorist Bill Ayers, Obamas buddy.

It's a progresion and indoctrination that the left follows.

By Any Means Necessary

Once again, Dan. Are there no rightwingers who have been caught doing the same, or worse?

Did your mama tell you two wrongs don' make a right?

What does that have to do with the price of rice in China.

BlueStreak 06-03-2014 11:54 PM

She sure did.

She also warned me not to throw rocks in a glass house.

It matters when you're trying to paint one political persuasion as inherently "terrorist", while refusing to admit there are similar whackjobs in your own camp.

That's what it has to do with it.

Where do you get "Left Wing Terrorist" in any of this?

No, I've always known there are violent leftist freaks.

Do you admit there are violent rightist freaks?

Or, are you so close to them that you think it's good or normal, Mr. "drop your shovels and gather up your armies"?

Lefties do that all the time so you must recognize it. Gun owners are nut jobs.

I can think of several off the top of my head that post here that are too psychologically unbalanced to be in possession of any kind of weapon.

I would name names but I don't want to run afoul of the new board rules.

BlueStreak 06-04-2014 09:08 AM

Dan, are there any violent rightists in this country? Anybody running around with loaded guns, proudly proclaiming their willingness to use them? Anybody that's oh, say.......bombed any buildings, shot any abortion doctors or kamikaze crashed an airplane into an IRS building or........

Well?

Yes and I don't see anything like a radicalized weatherman type here. More like the lashing out of someone that has gone irrational.

Ya mean like the pious Rev. Paul Hill?
http://cdn.historycommons.org/images...1722-34800.jpg

My call? Lethal injection was way, way too good for Paul Hill. They should have gut-shot him with his own shotgun and let him bleed to death, just as he did to Dr. John Britton and Lt. Col. Jim Barrett. And they should have dragged every Army of God member into the execution sight and forced them to watch.

Here, have some light reading;

The one from "faqs.org" is especially interesting, because it lays bare the fact that everyone has "terrorist" or potentially terrorist groups in their camps.

So, spare me your tit-for-tat foolishness.

Yeah, I know. To be honest, I just did a search & to my surprise that came up.
I wonder what qualifies as terrorism on that map. Good God, if we have had that many attacks, we are at war. :(

Good question. Some people consider speaking a differing philosophical opinion as a "terrorist act". Others call the cop that (justifiably) gave them a speeding ticket a "jack booted government thug".

I bet you & I commit "terrorist" acts every day according to that group. LOL :D

Ike Bana 06-04-2014 12:53 PM

The map means nothing. There's no timeline to go along with geographics. There's no indication of ideological affiliation for any of it. Calling it some sort of tracking of "liberal terrorism" is worse than stupid.

Yep. It's making a map of "terrorist acts", with no timeline or details and labeling it "Left Wing Terrorism".

Sorry, not buying it.

I'll read the rest of it later. Time to start getting ready for work.

Fixed that for ya DJ. Must be that your hero Sheriff Joe Arpaio is a terrorist.

djv8ga 06-04-2014 03:49 PM

That arm pit Costa Mesa must really have a bunch of radicals with all of the terrorism going on there. I bet it's gotten worse since 2008 too. Look at that cluster of terrorism in So-Cal. Maybe the feds should monitor all political forums for radical Leftys in that area.
I wonder who all of those Leftys were attacking? Very scary for our country. :(

bobabode 06-04-2014 03:58 PM

Dude, Costa Misery is Teabagger central in Orange county, second only to maybe Tustin. Do a little research for once DJ.

Look at the map radical! It's the Leftys committing crimes against the Right in that area. People like you attacking the innocent & defenseless! You are a radical who promotes the violence in those communities with all the hate you spew toward conservatives and Christians.
You promote violence everyday!
