Brown takes the lead.
|
Ummm..... Suffolk University/7News survey?
Suffolk’s Political Research Center? I think the pollster's name says it all: David Paleologos. ;) Coakley may well lose. The Democrats were far too smug about holding onto this seat but I'm not going to start worrying on the basis of some unknown small college pollster. John |
Shoot, even Rasmussen has Coakley ahead, if only by a few points. No one ever accused Rasmussen of being a liberal outfit. Not saying it can't happen, but there will have to be more shift than there has yet been for a Republican to win that seat. Will be an interesting one to watch.
|
Yep, just a little outfit. And I feel for those poor folks that live there, I was at ground zero in the 04 election and the bombardment was intense and irritating.
But what great entertainment! Pete |

God damned filibuster! Imagine a party with a 59 to 41 majority being hamstrung by such a half assed rule. John |
A very un-democratic Senate claiming to be part of a democartic Republic. Hey, look at it this way Brown wins, the reform plan goes down in flames, the GOP crows but then come November they eat crow as the backlash hits.

I would love to see it happen then maybe wiser heads would prevail and we will go single payer.

Well Winnie did say that we eventually do the right thing, that's Winston Churchill not Winnie the Pooh. Actually Pooh would be an improvement over some of thecertifiable idiots we have in there now.

How dare you think such things :)

I think the polls if anything will serve to scare the Left into action so it could go either way no matter what the Polls say. I think the big story here is that its tight in the first place. Its all going to hinge on the middle and if they will actually vote, we know both sides will go to vote but I am not so sure about the middle.
There is also the issue of what happens if Brown does win, if its close there will be delays of 10 days for absent ballot counts if not a total recount. If its a large margain win it will be curious to see how quick they will seat him. The final 72 hour push is about to begin so hang on to your hats. |

It was fascinating and enlightening to watch them brand Kerry as a "flip flopper". His weakness was that he would think about important issues. We sure don't want that. And presented with better information he might even (gasp!) change his mind! Certainly didn't have to worry about Bush doing that! He never made any mistakes. Said so himself. |

There were many good reasons to vote for Kerry:
"We've got better vision. We've got better ideas. We've got real plans. We've got a better sense of what's happening to America, and we've got better hair." John Kerry. :) Pete |
And if you wont stand for something you will fall for anything

Yea nobody on the Left tans, Edwards and Kerry were pale and sickly looking

Lmao!
For seeming so stiff he's pretty funny: "I just want to assure you that both President Bush and I have very firm alibis." -- after three Davenport, Iowa banks were robbed while Kerry and Bush were campaigning in the city at the same time Pete |

Well, sounds like the White House is worried about it:
http://www.comcast.net/articles/news...D=Net_Newsmain It would be ironic if Kennedy's seat became the one a minority of Republicans needed to block progress again. |
I found this:
http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=9574997 Interesting information. So it would take four or five days to get it done. It would be a mess, but Brown will have to win by a good margin to stop it, at least I think. Otherwise it would be pretty easy to pull a Katherin Harris (or I guess an anti-Katherin Harris since she rushed inaccurate votes rather than delaying accurate votes. Sixes, I guess) and delay the thing for, what, a few weeks I'd think. My guess it's much adoo about nothing. But good spectator sport. |
Obama is heading there Sunday to rally the base, on Hardball tonight the general thinking was the middle is already lost and Obama will try to get the Left excited or scared enough to go out and vote. We shall see if he has more success than he did begging for the Olympics.

Really? I thought it was pretty funny.......still do! Obama went hat in hand to sell himself on giving the Olympics to Chicago....he just may have done some groveling aswell.
So you can write statements of insult to the Right but dont dare do it to the Left.......how nice for you. "And the problem is that these wackos have become the party's loyal "base." Accordingly, no GOP politician is willing to call foul on these nut cases. Look at all the back-pedaling/groveling when one finally gets up the nerve to say something critical about Limbaugh or Bob Jones." That was you describing folks as "back-pedaling/groveling wackos and nut cases" correct? Nobody would find that ignorant or an insult............your too good for that. |

One could point out the fact that had your party not simply decided to "ignore" its critics you all wouldnt be in panic mode today but thats just crazy talk. People are against Healthcare................just ignore them Climate change may not be real and the data is flawed or incomplete...........just ignore them Cap and Trade..............ignore them Hmmm, I say a pattern here. |
