The new committee headed by Curt Gowdy is nothing but a political farce and a sham, IMO. The only abuse of power here is squarely on Republican shoulders.

Alabama is 70% white, but Obama got 38.6% of the vote.

So that tells me that there are a few good white people there. :)

The Benghazi cover up was the single most despicable and treacherous act of a US President in history and it's the poster for why Obama and his admin are far beneath the stature of the office.

The Benghazi "embassy" was a CIA station under the control and the responsibility of the CIA. Any non-CIA staff, including the ambassador, were window dressing for CIA operations. Many of the staff identified as State Department employees were not, including Woods and Doherty. Nobody in government can say so on the record. Even though everybody knows so, they dare not confirm it. So Clinton and the Obama administration are stuck with it. Republican leadership knows that as well, but will exploit it politically anyway...which makes them lower than whale shit in just one more major way.

The State Department had no authority over Benghazi operations or security. The loss of life was the responsibility of the CIA.

The ultimate responsibility/authority to engage our military on foreign soil in this situation rests with the president. He not only failed to act to protect our interests or to take charge of an event with direct national security implications, he refused to even publicly acknowledge the reality of the situation as it unfolded.

Then comes the cover up... which was presumably to manipulate the potential PR fallout a month before the election. Stinks to high heaven and the real evidence showing how dirty this admin is in this is just coming out.

The fact is that security for the Benghazi "Embassy" was the responsibility of the CIA, not the State Department. And to protect their cover and activity, the CIA doesn't give a shit in Allen Dulles' hat how many of their people get slaughtered when it comes to keeping their secret operations secret. Woods and Doherty were CIA contractors, not State Department contracted security.
