For the record, there is a review in place to determine whether or not immigration enforcement under our current President is being too harsh?
Think about that the next time some undereducated Righty tries to sell that we're being soft on immigration... |
Can't slip anything by you Zeke. ;)

Of the deportees:
How many are criminals? How many are people caught at the border? |
It is not amnesty as there will be fines and a waiting period. It was amnesty when Saint Ronnie did it.
I did it by the law, it cost my about to be employer $2500 for my H1B and it cost me $1200 for the same lawyer for my green card. I have forgotten the fees for naturalization but they were there. |

Criminality is in the eye of the beholder, just ask the 'Baggers. They think that anyone here illegally is a criminal who should be deported. There should be a middle way is where I'm coming from. |
Any Bagger who feels that way should be forced to disclose when his family got here on a boat.

AFAIK being undocumented is a civil offense not criminal but Don will know better.

The President is under pressure to ease up on deportation. I would like to get a picture of whom he is deporting. There are real criminals who need deporting...kidnappers, pedophiles, gang bangers, human traffickers etc. We have been invaded by a lot very dangerous people from especially El Salvador, Quatemala, Honduras and Mexico. These countries are even afraid of some of these people whom we have deported. |

And 129,151 convicted of 'other.'

I have heard, (don't know whether it's true or not), that included in the deportation numbers are those that were turned back at the border before they ever entered the country. I wouldn't call that "deportation". Can anyone enlighten me in regards to that?

processed before being sent back. That would be classified as deportation. |

https://www.ice.gov/removal-statistics From report: Of the 151.834 removals of individuals without criminal convictions 84 percent or 128.398 were apprehended at the border while attempting to unlawfully enter the US.. |
Another good reason to scrap this idiotic & sick Prison Industrial Complex.
