Resistance is futile! California dreamin'
The ex mayor of Oakland burnishes the Golden State's image.

Just beatin' the drum to draft my Governor, Jerry Brown into the '16 race...
...and to make Whell's head explode.;) |
Dunno Bob, think a "boy scout" could be elected President in these times? He would fix the budget in a non partisan fashion though, but the gopperbaggers would never go for that.

Here's one just in case ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG8UuZ0NZGY "California Uber Alles" I am Governor Jerry Brown My aura smiles And never frowns Soon I will be president... Carter Power will soon go away I will be Fuhrer one day I will command all of you Your kids will meditate in school Your kids will meditate in school! [Chorus:] California Uber Alles California Uber Alles Uber Alles California Uber Alles California Zen fascists will control you 100% natural You will jog for the master race And always wear the happy face Close your eyes, can't happen here Big Bro' on white horse is near The hippies won't come back you say Mellow out or you will pay Mellow out or you will pay! [Chorus] Now it is 1984 Knock-knock at your front door It's the suede/denim secret police They have come for your uncool niece Come quietly to the camp You'd look nice as a drawstring lamp Don't you worry, it's only a shower For your clothes here's a pretty flower. DIE on organic poison gas Serpent's egg's already hatched You will croak, you little clown When you mess with President Brown When you mess with President Brown :D |
Dayum, Rex.;)

Good grief. Good satire exaggerates and makes fun of actual faults of the target. Since when was The Monk ever even a bit Nazi-ish?

Good song, Hilbilly.
As long as we're doing songs, might as well do this one.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN3GbF9Bx6E |
While we're doing lyrics, how about these:
You say you want a revolution Well, you know We all want to change the world You tell me that it's evolution Well, you know We all want to change the world But when you talk about destruction Don't you know that you can count me out? (in) Don't you know it's gonna be Alright? Alright? Alright? You say you've got a real solution Well, you know We'd all love to see the plan You ask me for a contribution Well, you know We are doing what we can But if you want money for people with minds that hate All I can tell you is, brother, you'll have to wait Don't you know it's gonna be Alright? Alright? Alright? You say you'll change the constitution Well, you know We all want to change your head You tell me it's the institution Well, you know You'd better free your mind instead But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao You ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow Don't you know it's gonna be Alright? Alright? Alright? Alright? Alright? Alright? |
LMAO! Who is it that keeps bellowing about revolution, these days, Was? The rest of us don't want a revolution we just want to reform an inefficient healthcare insurance system.
Geez. Dave |
Fundamentally change America?
Constitution is flawed? You don't fix an inefficient healthcare system by giving control of it to an inefficient and corrupt and incompetent government. |

I do enjoy the Dead Kennedy's though. And I am getting a nice laugh out of what a song can do. So, to sum it up, was just having some fun with bobs post that got even more fun :D |

I would say after the mess Congress is going through, there might be a better chance for a Governor to get the presidential nod vs. a congressman or senator.
|
I never thought they could get below a 10% approval rating. I was wrong, it's now at 5% and it's the Repugnant party that is getting the lion's share of the blame.
|
Could be an interesting 2014 election.

With the general public attention span being what it is, if this fiasco ends by next August it will probably be forgot by election time.
|
It's obviously way too early to call, but I'm thinking the Dems may pick up a few seats at best. It's not really Reps per se, that I'd like to see go. It's the Tea Party blowhards that I'd love to see get the heave-ho. And, I think that sentiment may be growing. At least I hope it is.
