Hello From Over Here
How 'ya doin' over there?
Call me Don. 'Over here' is SW Ohio, btw. |
Welcome to the Dark Side;)
I was from Ohio once but it got better ;) |
Welcome, Don.
There are a bunch of Ohioans here. Piece it Pete and Icenine are two. Warm regards, Bob |
Welcome
Bunch of foreigners here too. BTW. Best I can say is that I have driven through Ohio a number of times. Slowly. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 |
Welcome.
I'm from Ohio too. Newton Falls, near where I-80 and I-76 cross. Dave |
Howdy Don! NE Ohio here. Call me Pete ;)
Pete |
Welcome Don. I'm not from, never been to, probably never will go to Ohio. (Too close to Kentucky for my tastes) :D
I am somewhat centered, but living amongst the leftest of the left I feel mostly conservative. |

By the way, welcome Donquixote. I hope you don't find participating here to be an impossible dream. Regards, D-Ray |
Welcome Don. Hope you can add to the dysfunction that prevails around here. But it's fun.
I did a project in Mentor once and it was all work and no play. |
Dys"fun"ction...yep, that's us, right in the middle of it all.
|
Welcome Don! 😃

It was humor, Rob. I'm not really suggesting that all female Warrenites are psychotic. Now, the men.............That's a different story.:p
|
Fine, but the jealousy was not funny, it got old real fast.
|
Thanks for all the welcomes, and congrats on the divorce, Merrylander!
I'm not actually from Ohio, I just live here, so claims that the women are all crazy are fine with me. No one better badmouth Indiana, though! |

752 is a real nice amp, just not an autoformer model. Carl |

"Clipping" is what happens to the top of a waveform when the amp is driven to it's limit. A "soft" clip suggests that the waveform remains relatively smooth albeit flattened at the top, during clipping. A "hard" clip is jagged, theoretically resulting in a harsher sound. As for the rest; http://news.cnet.com/8301-13645_3-20026525-47.html Dave |
I like both. Actually, from my experience, a good tube preamp driving powerful SS amps can be amazing. I think the tubes introduce phase shifts to the sound that enhance the sense of "space" in the soundstage. If that makes any sense to you.

Welcome.

Don't waste too much time with this forum... :D
Don't forget your systems and the music... ;) Welcome Don! :) |
A warm welcome to you.

I almost went out and bought a C33/2255 package last month, but I didn't think it sounded "more better" enough than my lowly MA6100 and MR74 to spend the money. If the economy had kept my wages going up along with the top 5%, I would have probably pulled the trigger.
