Lots of irony here. In their zeal to investigate the "scandalous" talking points on Benghazi, the GOP released 2 emails that had been fabricated to support their case.:eek:

there were 30 CIA operatives at the "consulate" and 7 State Department officials....it looks like the CIA was trying to make the State Department take the " blame" for Benghazi

From the "Right Minded" I have talked to all agree it is, what was "Intended" to be said. PERIOD! Meaning no matter what is written they are able to fabricate the needed words.

You'all forget this tidbit.... There are still some who feel what Nixon and others in the GOP did was OK! So yes they would believe it does not compare with a an administration trying to juggle telling the people the truth and an ongoing investigation at the same time. Now add the turf war still between agencies into the mix. It surprises me the US is so successful.

Yep, they still think that it was a witch hunt that hounded that sick and twisted bastard out of office. Living in the D.C. area at the time and reading the revelations in the Post as they came out made it clear that Nixon was heavily involved and culpable.
Too bad the stories weren't picked up by the national press ahead of the '72 election. A one term Nixon presidency followed by a McGovern one would have made for a very different world, IMO.
