Boreas 12-20-2012 08:34 PM

It's a 54 MB file from an unknown website posted by an unknown (to me) person.... no offense, but my mama taught me better than that.

Bingo! When I'm asked if I want to save or open, I decline always. Sorry. Probably why I don't get infected. Well, that and AVG free... Norton is a buggie POS.

CarlV 12-20-2012 08:57 PM

basically that link goes to
http://archive.org/web/web.php
which is chock full of anything media that is public domain.

Thanks for clearing that up, Carl.

I keep hearing that my old XP Pro is outdated but Windows7 or 8 costs too much and I'm suffering from early onset fuddy duddyism.

:DBTW, paranoia doesn't mean they aren't out to get me!:D

Dude111 01-08-2013 06:12 AM

Here is a link to the folks who produced the video, and it is certainly worth watching. It makes the point that I have railed about from time to time about a throw away economy, and that the lifestyle I am trying to develop is bad for the economy as we know it. I fix rather than throw away, shop at the thrift stores for small appliances or clothes, and don't usually watch TV.

Regards,

D-Ray

That video is too ditzy to appeal to rednecks.

ebacon 01-08-2013 07:30 PM

Like OMG.

Shhhhhhhh! I love the throw-away society! There's a curbside e-waste pickup here on Thursday. I'm hoping to score big with a pre-dawn raid! ;)

You can roll your eyes, but getting the likes of Larry the Cable Guy to tell the story is an example of what it takes to get a majority.

It's arrogant to think that fishermen, duck hunters, trappers, dirt bikers, equestrians, and all other sorts of rednecks don't share distaste for pollution and waste.
