Wtf???

Obviously, Pete doesn't like the idea of this sub-forum.

Obviously.

Yes. First of all, the title of the sub-forum is "Politics and the Environment", the implication being that any discussion of the environment is political in nature. Second, the sub-heading of "Which one includes toxic waste" carries the inference that the subject as a whole is little more than BS.

I realize that Pete tries to make a joke out of everything but I believe that, at least in this case, the effect is uncalled for and prejudicial.

Dangit, Pete. Next time read John's mind while you are clickety-clicking in the admin panels. :D

Hey, that was my sparkling wit that provided the subtitle for this forum. Go to the trouble to figure out how to create a new forum, and people still aren't happy. Geeze.

And BTW, the name of this place is Political Chat. But it's not like any thread that doesn't include politics is going to be locked.

So, WTF???

Regards,

D-Ray

I must admit that I was also a little confused. So, I figured I would let someone else stick their foot in it first...:o Thanks, Don & on to the fabled Northwest Passage...:)

I just love the way this thread started out.
It's an excellent example of how people around here are eager to jump to conclusions make assumptions. Nice job.

My only assumption was in who decided on how to tag the sub-forum. I've apologized to Pete for that. Given the fact that he, specifically, was asked by others to create it and the, shall we say, arch tone of the sub-heading, I think it was an understandable error.

As for my objections, they still stand. I think the title and subhead are mildly prejudicial but I'm not going to pursue the matter any further.

Doubtless, you will.

I agree it's mildly prejudicial, but then, I also see the humor. I think I'll enjoy this new subforum if it tends more towards science than politics.
