I was waiting for the secret service to come out and drag Jons ass off to a FEMA gulag for his impertinence. I have one question, when is Romney gonna get equal time?:D
|
I can here Romney now,
"Did you seriously go on The Daily Show with unemployment really at 73.7% and American families forced to eat their pets?" Regards, Dave |

It would seem that Obama's appearance on the Daily Show last night turned out to be "less than optimal" for him. His depths of callousness never cease to shock.

I just watched it. I think the President summed it up very nicely in his closing remark.

Tell that to her... "mother of slain diplomat Sean Smith, is among those who found Obama’s comments to be insensitive. Speaking from her home in San Diego, Mrs. Smith, 72, continued: ‘It’s insensitive to say my son is not very optimal – he is also very dead. I’ve not been “optimal” since he died and the past few weeks have been pure hell. ‘I am still waiting for the truth to come out and I still want to know the truth. I’m finally starting to get some answers but I won’t give up. ‘There’s a lot of stupid things that have been said about my son and what happened and this is another one of them.’ " |
Doesn't matter what the grieving Mom thinks JBS, someone will be along here in a minute to explain that she's a shill for Fox News.
They're just as cold as they are pathetic. |

I watched the interview and do have context for the President's remark. He did not say that the Ambassador was not optimal. (Indeed, the comments about the Ambassador have been nothing but positive.) Obama was responding to a question from Stewart which used the word "optimal" in asking about the manner in which information about the attack came out. Obama's response was that what happened at the compound was not optimal - i.e. it was not a result that he wanted. Regards, D-Ray |
I have seen people twist things totally out of shape in my 81 years, but the pretzel job JBS and Wass have done on the President's remarks defies all comprehension. You had better pray that they do not make English the official language.

I do have a few things to say, though. First, there is no indication of whether Mrs. Smith saw the interview. The edited clip on the Daily Mail website begins with the President's answer but fails to reveal the question he was answering. It then jumps to a jokey exchange with Stewart which actually occurred at the very beginning of the interview. The clear intent is to reinforce the Daily Mail's "narrative" that the President isn't really taking this tragedy very seriously. Second, just as with the President's response, the actual question she was asked by the Daily Mail reporter isn't disclosed. Her response is a little off-kilter unless she was asked something like, "President Obama said yesterday that the killing of your son wasn't 'optimal'. How do feel about that?" Frankly, it's pretty easy to manipulate grief in that way and the Daily Mail is far from averse to doing things like that. It's a disgusting, sensational, scandal mongering rag of a British tabloid. It's also VERY right wing. John |

The fools can't even get it right. The internet is full of "less than optimal", parroting a headline in the Moonie Times, but that's not what the President said. They also omit the entire context of the statement. Here is the entire statement and the question to which it was a response. See if you find anything..... anything wrong with what the President said. John |
Yeah, just watched the interview.......So what? He admits that his administrations response was "less than optimal" and the party of childish whiners throws a temper tantrum.................Over what?
John, the election draws near and their asshat candidate still stands a very real chance of LOSING. That's what this is all about. Remember all of the screaming, crying, soiling of diapers after the 2008 election? You aint seen nothing yet. If they lose this one and don't get their teabagger fantasy world pacifier to suck on, the spoiled little piglet tantrums will be out of control and even more ridiculous than ever before. Regards, Dave |

“Here’s what I’ll say. When four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal. We’re going to fix it. All of it,” His words... :p WTF, why was he on a show like this with just weeks before an election..? Stupid. |

Christ, the guy can't even admit to a failure without being excoriated by you guys----for the manner in which he does so. All this serves to do is demonstrate how just how PATHETIC y'all have become. THERE IS NOTHING THERE TO BE OUTRAGED ABOUT. To answer your question; It's called "campaigning". And, I'm sure you'd like nothing more that to have him to stop getting in front of cameras and talking to the people. P.s. I find it interesting to have a teabagger accuse ANYONE else of believing "bullchit". Your ENTIRE belief system is built on nothing but fairytales and bullchit, IMHO.:p Regards, Dave |

Alot of news organization stated the same quote without stating what organization did the original interview... Hmmm, wonder why. would you have to put links and give credit to the original interviewer for these... Todd Beamer on Sept. 11, 2001 said "Let's roll." Rodney King, said "People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along?" |
