Did Obama Just Throw The Entire Election?

Andrew Sullivan over at the Daily Best is in on-going meltdown mode after the Prez's debate. He also cites the Pew Research poll released yesterday that has been roundly ignored by the mainstream press, which shows Romney in the lead after a significant turnaround. The usual disclaimers here, like "its just a poll", "There's still 3.5 weeks to go", etc. However, the poll does reflect others that show Romney cutting into Obama's lead.

Please move sharp objects out of Sullivan's reach.

Yes, his performance was bad. Yes, it did give Romney an edge-----for now.
Yes, the Pew Poll is the only one that reflects such a large lead.

No, I don't think it's accurate.

Funny, how you can claim the so-called "left-wing media" skews polls to Democratic favor, but never recognize that the right could possibly do the same. Are you attempting to say ALL of the others are left wing biased?

Dave

When Obama had a clear and widening lead the Right Wing was screaming that the polls were rigged, even the Fox and Rasmussen polls. Now that the polls show Obama's lead shrinking or even disappearing the polls have suddenly become an honest and accurate reflection of the "people's will".

Funny about that.

Myth? Busted..Do you remember Faux's Ingraham doing her meltdown after the 47% video came out?

These type of poll's are known as outlier's. There was one that had Obama at +9%, did anyone cite that poll as their baseline? Nope.

Sorry, whell. If you look at RCP's long baseline you'll see why R$R's gooses are statistically cooked. Not too mention there are two more debates and one VP debate.

Enjoy the sugar rush, dude.:D

Rich Galen said it best: "A campaign would rather be trending up rather than down." Given the current polls, I think the most that can be said is that the election will be close. If I were betting, I'd still be betting on the incumbent.

I've never made that claim, yet you inject it into this thread. Funny about that.

Do you even check your facts before you post them? Here's what RCP is showing now:

RCP National Average: Obama - 47.8, Romney - 48.2. Romney +0.4

As I posted the other day, most of the polls that RCP aggregates from are showing Romney within the poll's margin of error, or some actually show him leading.

Couldn't have put it better.

Did I say you did? It ain't all about you, whell. Get a grip on that persecution complex of yours and carefully shove it where your posts emanate from.

It is. Sometimes, just like anyone else, they get it wrong. I've visited the site you linked to and examined the poll. As I said in an earlier post, their sample is quite small for that poll and, looking back over previous Pew polls, you can see that the small samples tend to favor Romney. It points to flawed methodology when your sample size is predictive of a certain result.

Really? You post something in a thread I start that references polling data, don't direct the comment anyone else, and I'm just supposed to assume that it's not a commentary on my original post?

Why don't you take your lame attempts at sarcasm and shove them where your posts originate from...though you might need to move your head first.

I dunno whell. Sure looks like another R$R spike and looking at the graphs right there at RCP they always shoot back into negative territory. Hence my comment that you should enjoy your sugar rush. I do understand that you fervently hope that this trend will continue but if the past year is any guage of performance, R$R's chances are indeed toast. But, hey if you want to see some tectonic shift here in a snapshot? Go for it, pleasure yourself.

Here's a clue for you, whell. I was responding to a post by Blue. I even quoted it in my response. A less self-involved person than you might have taken that into consideration before running off at the mouth.

Yes, a post which Blue was directing to me and asking a question, which you echoed and answered. A less self involved person than you would acknowledge their error.
