Fun & Games.

Well chaps, Olympic screw-ups have already started.

The North Korean team were welcomed by the organisers flying the South Korean flag. As the two countries are still technically at war, this didn't go down well.

That is hilarious. LMAO! I'm sure there will be planty of problems with the games.

I bet they think it was intentional!

If that's the case, then I'd like to buy the decision maker a drink.

Hemlock?

bobabode 07-26-2012 07:45 PM

Mitt does London! For someone who values our cousins across the pond, he certainly has a funny way of showing it. The Mayor of London gave him a right good public caning for his comments that London could have done a better job of it.

Good for you Mitt! Reinforce the reputation of the Ugly American on holiday. Brilliant job, Herr Baron Willard Mittlothian Leber Von Romney! (Oops, sorry. It must be my Hessian turncoat ancestry rearing it's ugly head...)
What a joke! Too bad it reflects on us. I wonder what kind of faux pas he's going to whip out in Poland? Why isn't France or Germany on the itinerary?

Please don't judge us by this buffoon with a silver spoon stuffed up 'is arse.
He's just an innkeeper with a pub called The Prancing Pony in Salt Lake, Utah.

finnbow 07-26-2012 08:16 PM

Mitt really stepped on his dork. His base probably loved it because they view all Europeans as evil soci@lists.

merrylander 07-27-2012 07:22 AM

The only reason Poland is on his itinerary is because the missile shield got cancelled, so no doubt he will promise to revive it if elected. Of course the citizens of Poland don't vote in our elections. Or after citizens united maybe they do.

These are the comments pounced upon?

"There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that obviously is not something which is encouraging. Because there are three parts that makes Games successful.

"Number one, of course, are the athletes. That's what overwhelmingly the Games are about. Number two are the volunteers. And they'll have great volunteers here. But number three are the people of the country. Do they come together and celebrate the Olympic moment? And that's something which we only find out once the Games actually begin."

Is the new "Dear Leader" going to send telepathic instructions again?

All it took for Londoners to come together was Romney critiqueing their preparations. 80,000 hardened Brits screaming after Romneys balls at the behest of the Mayor? Yeah, Mitt was just trying to be the glue that binds together... I really liked the P.M.s comments about holding the Games in one of the most densely populated cities as opposed to Romney's in the middle of nowhere!;) And this dickhead wants to be President? Oh, please!

piece-itpete 07-27-2012 12:12 PM

I believe he was referring to the threatened strikes.

And the dickhead might be :D

At least Romney didn't choose to ridicule Britain's dental hygiene. Yet.

They've seen what happens when a Republican starts ridiculing and demonizing someone; You end up laid off or losing benefits. The Europeans have little patience for scheming pricks like Romney, we Americans worship them. We want them to bend us over so they can accrue evermore for themselves. Well, some of us do anyhow.

They just give nobels to whoever johnieecomelately that comes along, as long as they talk the talk.

Jeeze Pete I didn't have you pegged as someone who was bitter. Whazzup brother, the incessant adverts getting to you?:)

piece-itpete 07-27-2012 01:40 PM

They will make you rip your eyeballs out and stuff them in your ears.

Heh,heh-I hear you! So far I've only seen the Romney singing America the Beautiful one. I'll bet that one plays over and over in Ohio.
I use the DVR to avoid the commercials. The trippy part is the percentage of content vs adverts. 38 minutes out of every hour is the standard now. I get a kick out of the Alfred Hitchcock commentary from the late fifties to the early sixties. No mercy on the sponsors.;)

finnbow 07-27-2012 01:58 PM

I bet Romney is considering retroactively cancelling his trip to Britain.

merrylander 07-27-2012 02:24 PM

One of the nice things about Maryland, the Repubs know it is pointless to run adverts here and the Dems don't have to.:D

piece-itpete 07-27-2012 02:34 PM

'He's bad! No, he's bad!' - over and over.

Are you in the Baltimore TV market or the DC TV market? Over here (10 miles from Rob, but in the DC market), the ads are flying fast and furious in an effort to influence things in NoVa.
