When is a spade a spade?

It's when the Teaparty owns up to the fact that they are simply anarchists.:p

finnbow 05-26-2012 07:26 PM

I'd say more nihilists than anarchists. They're too lazy to be anarchists.

BlueStreak 05-27-2012 04:32 AM

I think they can read. They're just dumb enough to believe voting Republican is a vote for small government. Guess they didn't get the memo.

budgetaudio6 05-29-2012 10:39 PM

I didnt say i was republican. If that is what you are referring too?

Oh, shit, here we go. "We're not Republicans!" Well maybe you don't think so, but you sure have been duped into voting for them, haven't you? And when you stooges have served your purpose, you will lose their support as twice as fast as you gained it.....

You didn't need to. Your posts speak for themselves. OTOH, I'll bet dollars to donuts that you're ready to come back with the Limbaugh/Hannityism "I'm not a Republican, I'm a conservative."

Sorry but all the conservatives have left the Republican party.

Indeed. The Limbaugh/Hannity/Teabagger wing of the party seems to have confused nihilism with conservatism.

and most republicans left as well.

They went and sighed up religious nuts and teabagers as replacements.

I believe the current state of politics in this country is a direct result of the failure of our public school system. The fact that a whole faction of proudly ignorant people (the Tea Party) have been able to gain any influence is quite an embarrassment as an American.

icenine 06-04-2012 10:42 AM

A Tea Party member is someone who votes against their own self-interest and does not know that the things they value the most may be destroyed by those they are electing.
As long as they get their Medicare and Social Security....they do not realize that they may be destroying those programs for their children. In my opinion there is racist undercurrent to the movement, and once their is another president in office the label Tea Party will dissolve and you will have the good old bad old right wing again. I guess this is what happens when a nation forgets to study its' own history.
I miss the good old Republicans that liked big business and banks...the same ones that built the interstate highway system and created the EPA.

Yep, but at least they feel patriotic while they're damaging the nation.

That is the irony. The group that has taken on the mission of "saving the country" are in fact themselves the greatest threat to liberty and prosperity for American citizens.

It must be profoundly uncomfortable to fear minorities of all types (non-whites, gays, women) while becoming one yourself. The dominance of the white male Christian is waning for the first time in American history. We really can't expect them to accept their status as minorities without a fight can we? After all, we white people have set up this racially-based system for our benefit. Imagine if it was turned around on us?

It's just grass roots versus Lipton from on high, pre printed posters is a sign of some evil conspiracy of that cabal, doncha know? Although that one old cat at the mall in D.C. with a dozen tea bags stapled to the brim of his hat had me laughing. Pissed off ol white people are by far the most comical of any of the extroverts dancin' and prancin' around the town square of late.
(That is until they bust out with their Mausers and such and start a taechin' & larnin' all them malcontents.):p

piece-itpete 06-05-2012 08:31 AM

Agreed they can be very funny, like they're trying to dance or something :D

The handed out preprinted signs at various OWS freakshows too ya'know ;)

Pete
