Disliking the President is one thing

But this is unacceptable.

I can't believe there's a business somewhere making and selling shit like this. When have things gone too far?

bobabode 03-15-2012 04:26 PM

Go figure, after all they're duck fuckers! We want they're Benellis. If I saw that one I would start plastering that vehicle with those bullet hole stickers.

Oerets 03-15-2012 05:15 PM

They are not "racists" I bet but play euchre. Not really they are racists!

We have reached agreement. I must say the person that would put that on their car must not value their car. I do not feel that anyone ought extinguish his right to his idiocy.

Perhaps, they are African-Americans that do not like Obama's policies. After seeing the blogosphere go nuts over it, I am now leaning towards it being an inside job to garner negative publicity for the GOP.

In which case, you'd be vandalizing someone elses property. That, IMHO, is far worse than a racist bumber sticker.

BlueStreak 03-15-2012 06:30 PM

It's the GOPs mystery constituency again. Just like in the Mississippi video.

Oh, what in the heck am I talking about? These people don't really exist. You have never met a racist(s) who also turned out to be a right-winger. It's all a figment of your overactive imagination. Why look, they had a black man run for president, even. They were concerned that he wouldn't get the mystery constituency vote, but they ran him. And, just look at how warm and friendly they've been towards President Obama. They only waited until a few months before the election to declare his presidency a total disaster and started spreading rumors of deathcamps and such....I mean, just how much more tolerant can you expect them to be? Why he's even returned that love by advancing so many things they originally proposed-----Well, before they realized it was "So(c)ialism", of course................................

We were in complete agreement here. And then you got started on conspiracy theories.

On another point, I agree that vandalism in worse than the expression of racism. On the other hand, active racism in the manner in which one deals with others is worse than vandalism. One causes property damage; the other causes damage to humanity. Then again, I wouldn't classify the application of removable stickers as vandalism.

I think some black spray paint over the offending sticker (with a bit of overspray ;))would be entirely appropriate. When you lead with your chin, you should expect to be hit.

Yeah, I didn't read the post carefully. I was thinking about someone smashing the windows or something like that. That would be unsurprising but nevertheless unjustified.

I wonder if there's a bumper sticker out targeted for sale to the anti-Mormon wing of the mystery constituency?

Anyone want to take a stab at what that one might say?

I'll start; "I'll take the Papist over the Cultist Freak any day!":p

Come on... that picture was taken at Wal*Mart right? Wanna bet there was a rebel fag somewhere else on the vehicle!

Barney

BlueStreak 03-15-2012 10:14 PM

Another term used is "certain demographic". One night last year, the talking heads on CNN went on for what must have been a half hour at least about a "...certain demographic within the GOP base..." that might not vote for Romney because of his Mormonism, that might not support the female candidate (Bachmann), that also didn't seem too keen on Herman Cain.........

It was ridiculous. They must have repeated that phrase twenty times. They were doing it again during the Mississippi primary.

Through the whole thing I kept thinking, "Bigots. The word you're trying not to offend the Republican Party with is--------bigots."

Dave

Oerets 03-15-2012 10:22 PM

The racist bigots I know are very proud members of the GOP and the Tea Party. Laugh at the thought they might be wrong in their ideals... Big Rush supporters along with Beck.

Like this is big news to anyone.

I think someone in these parts would key the side of the car, pretty easy thing to do in public.

So in your area vandalism is a legitimate answer to tastelessness?

doucanoe 03-16-2012 08:24 AM

This bumper sticker: Real or plant? I'm not so sure anymore.

I'm sure the guy in my avatar would approve.

Overt racism is worse than tastelessness. Nevertheless, intentional property damage would not be legitimate, but also not shocking.

Can you cure my ignorance about the identity of the fellow in you avatar? Thanks.

I said nothing about doing that being "legitimate". Just that it would most likely occur in this and any urban area as a response.

And it is not murdering one's pets like in Arkansas either......

By msnbc.com staff and news services

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Police were investigating Monday after a cat belonging to the family of a Democrat's campaign manager was beaten to death and the word "liberal" scrawled across its side.

The cat belonged to the family of Jake Burris, who manages Democrat Ken Aden's bid for Arkansas' 3rd Congressional District.

Burris was returning to his Russellville home with his four children when he found the cat on his doorstep Sunday night, the Aden campaign said in a press release.

I didn't say that you thought it was legitimate but apparently some people in your area think it is. (And yes, I know vandalism is possible everywhere.)

Is there some reason why you believe such a thing couldn't exist? Conservatives to highly moral and squeaky clean to do such a thing are they?

I'll bet I can google up some pretty nasty stuff being sold on the internet...........

(And yes, both sides do it. That's the whole point.)

Dave,

You should remember that there are another group of people out there. People that are Centrists like ME :) We're "GREEN PEOPLE", and when money is involved, we love everyone equally !

All of you Business, Political, Charities and Banking people are GREEN. We love everyone that is spending or giving money away.

Hell, even that guys printing those Bumper Stickers are making them for, and against everyone, at the same time, on the same presses. GREEN RULES and this is a Target Rich Environment. Us GREEN PEOPLE, LOVE EVERYONE !!!

Now who wants to buy a nice collection of Obama Memorabilia :D

Have you ever met old Union guys? I could give you an idea of their discussion between Obama and Hillary....

Pete

BlueStreak 03-16-2012 11:32 AM

That's right, Bill. Everyone is GREEN, we all work for money. I do, you do, everyone who works, works for money. Not simply out of personal pride, patriotic duty, because the Bible said so or simply to help some starry eyed guy realize a dream........We all do it for the GREEN!

Think about that.

Yep, some of the Old Timers thought the union would help them keep the blacks out of the mills. Heck, to some of them that's all that mattered, they didn't care what else the union did.

Didn't last long, did it? Unions are GREEN too. And once they realized that blacks would join and pay dues.......................

While this is true Dave,

Your an armature, "GREEN PEOPLE" are not Republican or Democrat, their not Whitey or Blackey, their only GREEN :D We LOVE EVERYONE, everyone with money in their hands.

There is no Race, Religion, Nationality, Political Party, Right or Left or Good of Bad, just GREEN and we love them ALL !

You won't see bumper stickers on our cars, signs in our yards, cause we love everyone :D Even our beloved Barock is GREEN, but he has the flaw of being a Democrat, he looses money coming from the Republicans. But not to worry, he still loves you, and wants your votes, as many as you can give him, cause he's GREEN !

Bill

piece-itpete 03-16-2012 12:09 PM

Hoo-hoo no Dave, not just those Union guys....

Heck the working poor that deliver the cities to the Dems year over year.

Pete

d-ray657 03-16-2012 12:22 PM

I must not be green enough, because there an many many things that I would not do for money. For example, I would neither print nor sell such a bumper sticker. I would not take a job as a management attorney. I would not do insurance defense. No one could pay me enough money to disparage my family or publicly humiliate myself. I wouldn't work for an advertising agency. Those are some of the legal things I would not do for money. I need not mention all of the illegal acts in which I would not engage.

If the price was right, I might sell my baseball cards, but it would have to be way above market value.

Your a wonderful person "D",

But you'll never be RICH ! You might be WELL OFF, But Never REALLY RICH.

But do you see that fallacy in your argument ???

You wouldn't sell your trade to receive better compensation, but you would sell your card collection for far more than it is actually worth, to some poor collector.

Everyone is a Prostitute, some just charge more than others for their services.
