'Game Change'

It's only been a few months since Palin was forgotten about and now this?

She is already denying the films accuracy (without seeing it) in spite of it being considered almost a documentary.

Seems to me we all ought to remeber what he GOP did with this bimbo.

We should never forget.

noonereal 03-12-2012 03:06 PM

Anyone see the film this weekend?

It portrayed Sarah very evenly and McCain very positively.

It even skipped much about the drama that surrounded Sarah.

whell 03-12-2012 04:43 PM

Looks like the film drew an audience of one....

Bigerik 03-12-2012 04:54 PM

Where was it shown?

Cable. HBO I think....??

finnbow 03-12-2012 07:01 PM

If I had HBO (I don't), I probably would have recorded it for later viewing. From everything I've read and heard about it, it was quite good and factual. That said, I wish that Bimbo would just fade from the picture permanently. Now we have Newt and Santorum to entertain us with their profundity.

epifanatic 03-12-2012 07:43 PM

It's on the DVR, I plan on watching it when I have time.

noonereal 03-13-2012 07:59 AM

Sarah is not happy about it's release but it could not have been easier on her than it was.

It completely left out all her family lunacy and most of her "real American" chants.

Oerets 03-13-2012 08:09 AM

The wife and I watched it Sunday night. We both thought Mc Cain came off in a positive way. Our opinions of the "Governor" are unchanged. I know my friends and family who voted for the ticket then will never watch it. Unless FOX news tells them they should!

Yes, that was kind of funny. McCain came out looking great in the film yet as I recall he changed his stand on so many issues to appeal to the crazies that he lost me for good.

I heard McCain refuses to watch this telling of his campaign. Probably just like he never watches Olbermann either!

Watched it.

For someone who would "stop and pray" every once-in-awhile, she sure was a habitual liar and a down-right dirty politician. I'll bet god told her to do it.

Not to mention mentally unstable. How 'bout those catatonic spells she had when they were trying to prep her for interviews? The deer in the headlights look when they told her the Queen wasn't the head of the British gubmint.

I am sure it's something he prefers to forget about, I'll bet he'd do about anything to have not chosen Palin.

Independent 03-13-2012 03:58 PM

The best part of the whole story was when the first gal that was trying to school Palin told her boss she didn't vote! :D

Can you imagine, one of the McCain/Palin campaign managers not voting!!

And for those of you that didn't whatch it, she didn't vote because if something would've happened to McCain while he was president and Palin had to take over, she did NOT want to be even be remotely responsible for that happening!

WOW!!!

I did come away with a new found respect for McCain. I liked that he was very apprehensive about running a negative campaign.

Steve Schmidt's own words: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...wZ7R_blog.html

What a great interview:

I hope her lunatic supporters take the time to watch this.

It's hard to dislike a guy who expected folks to vote for him due to platform as opposed to having a famous father, being a combat veteran, a POW, or marrying a rich wife.

No, I'm not being facetious.

We've all seen folks milk each and every one of those things -- deserved or no -- for votes believing adulation was owed them. (Like the Vietnam loony who has spent his entire life feeling he can bitch about society, without actually doing anything, because he "went to 'Nam.")

Still, I much preferred McCain of 2004 to 2008.

Big_Bill 03-14-2012 01:28 PM

You know,

Sarah didn't run to the McCain camp, and beg them to be the Vice Presidential Candidate.

The McCain political organization searched far and wide for the "perfect running mate" for him. And they must have passed over many far more qualified candidates than her. But for some strange reason they selected Poor Old Sarah Palin.

No, she isn't qualified, No, she is not very intelligent, she is not even savvy to the ways of Washington or the Press.

I'm sure that they encouraged her into accepting this great honor, worthy of it or not.

So I would not be to quick to vilify her, as to question the reasons behind McCain's political organization for selecting her ?

She does however reach the common American woman, an overlooked political demographic. Perhaps why she, with all her failings, was selected ?

BB

piece-itpete 03-14-2012 01:33 PM

And it's a shame, she was a superstar at the convention. If she could've backed it up on the trail she would've been Pres someday.

Did you watch the movie Bill, my guess would be no, otherwise you wouldn't have drawn these conclusions.

Palin's main issue was during her vetting procedure, she lied, a LOT! Ironic considering that she is such a Christian woman.

When being asked about her husband Todd's membership in the Alaskan Independence Party (a secessionist party):

Palin: He just checked the wrong box when he was regestering to vote.

Steve Schmidt: He was a member for 7 years!

LOL!!!

:D

Teleprompter (or is that insult reserved only for Obama?);)

LOL!

She isn't a good enough liar to be Pres :D

I remember her boasting about her husbands membership with the USW during her speech at the convention, and how the crowd briefly went silent when she said it...........Moron didn't even understand the nature of her own party. I think of it as the first "WTF episode" in the Palin saga.

For about 3 months I used a picture (below) of Reagan using a teleprompter and reading from paper during a televised speech on my profile pic on FaceBook. People actually raged on me and tried to get me to change it. Some "unfriended" me. It was hilarious. Dumbasses.:D

While I in NO WAY endorse her as a Vice Presidential Candidate, nor do I believe she is qualified for it in may ways.

I did hear that Todd joined the Alaskan Independence Party, as I ounce belonged to the Democratic Party. The only way to find out what an organization truly represents, is to join it, and ounce you realize what the organization really represents, you can either stay or leave it.

I have not been a registered member of the Democratic Party for over 35 years, yet I still receive mail and phone calls from them. Could I still be considered a member of that party ?

Ummm, yeah, pretty close comparison, Alaskan Independence Party and being a Dem.

I don't think you have to worry about that democratic party anymore, I'm pretty sure they won't take you back. My understanding is, they do have standards. :D

If he was here to see what a collection of bozos his party has become today...........His comments could be interesting. He might not speak on it in public, but, I'm sure it would be interesting.

Nah, Florence's late husband was a Repub and he thought he had made her a Repub. Despite three letters telling them she has been a registered Dem since 1965, after she got back from the orient, they still send mail. Political committees don't seem to read incoming mail unless there is a check in it.:D

I was once registered Republican, then Dem, then once it became legal here in VA, I was close to first in line to register Independent. I get junk mail from everyone. Not so much from the GOP, though. I did a sinister little email dance with Congressmen Forbes last year. After that, I think he put out the word to ostracize me. (Oh happy day!)
